A distressed cottage located on the West River in Maryland was transformed into a quaint yet modern home. A coastal theme reverberated through the house to create a soothing aesthetic that will inspire it's homeowners and guests for years to come. Sarah & Warren desperately needed a master bathroom update. Their existing tub shower combo was dark and drab. The room struggled to meet their needs. The areas meant for storage were not designed properly that created a lot of wasted space. The vanity was bulky and was not functioning properly for them. The oversized mirror was dated. The room also had a very large clear window that was covered up by blinds that just attracted dust. By stripping back, the layers, the tub was not a feature this couple needed, the vanity became floating, and the window was downsized to fit more with their desires. The wasted space to the right of the shower became usable to them by allowing storage for extra bath towel and showering accessories. The panty to the left because a dedicated storage tucked away out of sight. Lighting improved because of the additional light above the shower and the toilet. We also removed the traditional light above the sinks and installed recessed can lighting throughout the bathroom. The round storage mirrors side open to reveal hidden storage for all the small items you typically have in a bathroom. Their modern double vanity called Aron was installed floating with 3 functional drawers and a storage opening featuring a mint green and walnut finish and the top is quartz featuring rectangular sinks. The shower wall tile paired together is a brushed concrete pattern tile called Reside beige from Arizona Tile and the back wall is a light green hexagon tile called Springtime Green from the Tile Shop. The mini hex mosaic floor is white and green mini glass hexagons called Geo from Arizona Tile. The Delta Trinsic collection is featured in this bathroom with the matte black finish in the bath accessories and the faucets in the Champagne Bronze finish. A light-colored floor brings all elements together and allows the eyes to bounce around the room.

Beautiful hexagon glass mosaic all over main floor and shower floor of this small shower bathroom. Picket tile adorns the shower walls in a fun, multi shade green colorway.

This elegant bathroom involved a fair amount of detailed planning to make many of it's features work out well. The vanity is extra deep at 24" which helped with accommodating drawers under the sink. Trying to fit is the vanity ledge detail along with the faucet, sink and healthy overhang left very little wiggle room for error but it all worked out beautifully and now that it's in place, no one would realize the effort that went into preparing and planning it. The tower in between the two vanity sinks houses the outlets making them much more discreet than if they were on the mirror wall. The original bath had a closed shower. My goal was to open this up allowing for much more natural light in the shower. The half wall also provides a generous recessed soap box. The wall opposite the half wall accommodates a wall to wall granite bench. The overall calming colors are soft green-blue, white and a bit of amber. The play on textures and sheens are quite elegant. We included an end grab-bar which provides extra stability for tasks such as washing feet or shaving legs. For the shower pan, we used a solid surface material. The multi-function shower head and body sprays can be seen from a different angle in this picture.

This is one of the smaller master bathrooms we've worked on, in scale with the rest of the home. But it features a large skylight and a just-fine floor plan-- both of which we kept. The custom asymmetrical (larger at the top) wall cabinet will hold so much more than their previous couple of drawers, and fits in a little funk in the space. This 60's Master Bath was updated maintaining the same foot print. A sunken tub was filled in and replaced with a spacious shower utilizing a barn door style shower door. A large format tile, coordinating small accent tile for the shower floor. A corner bench topped with the same white quartz material as the vanity was installed. A glass accent stripe provides a bling factor to dress up this bath. Grab Bars coordinated with the shower fixtures provide a stabilizing factor.
