Our Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom. The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space. In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. This hall bath needed a good bit of updating to feel current, however the refresh still needed to be in keeping with the home's historic features. So, I kept the existing vanity, which had been a piece of furniture, and raised it up to a more modern height and added a beautiful soapstone countertop. I also had the mirror wall painted a gorgeous off-black, and removed the former single vanity light in favor of two aged brass, black and crystal sconces. The entire tub area was gutted as well, and replaced with black and white tile walls and a porcelain tub with frameless French shower doors.

This incredible design + build remodel completely transformed this from a builders basic master bath to a destination spa! Floating vanity with dressing area, large format tiles behind the luxurious bath, walk in curbless shower with linear drain. This bathroom is truly fit for relaxing in luxurious comfort.

Used a functional Singer sewing machine and made a vanity. Beautiful cast iron sink. All tile purchased at Lowes. Vintage shower head just added a touch to my new bathroom.

Staying on trend with the theme of black and white elegance this space features a two-person free standing vanity with dual mirrors making it a breeze to get ready at the same time without encroaching on each other’s space. The Alcove tub/shower features niche which is a divine feature for keeping your shampoo and body wash close at hand. Tying in the space is the Reverie black and white pattern tile.

A small half bath now feels roomy with this custom built, open style, and distressed vanity. The bold patterned porcelain tile is set on the floor and up the entire sink wall. Radiant floor heating warms this cozy space.
