Interior Photography – Simon Brown For its September Issue, Architectural Digest was invited to discover and unveil Kate Moss’ collaboration with the prestigious English wallpaper brand de Gournay. It is in the heart of Primrose Hill, in the fashion icon’s house, that her inimitable aesthetic sense is once yet demonstrated. Already a long-standing de Gournay client, it should come as no surprise that she chose to join forces with the brand to create ‘Anemones in Light’, a beautiful chinoiserie wallcovering now part of the house’s permanent collection and showcased in her bathroom, reflecting her personal style: sleek and modern with a poetic touch. This Art Deco-inspired masterpiece, made in custom Xuan paper, displays largescale hand-painted Anemones, symbol of luck according to Greek mythology. The intricate flowers, alongside shards of light hand-gilded in sterling silver metal leaf, superbly stand out on an ethereal background. This backdrop is painted in a hue named “Dusk”, referring to the supermodel’s favourite time of the day and reminiscent of “a summer night when it goes silvery-blue from the light of the moon”, as she stated in Architectural Digest. The Double Lowther vanity basin suite, handmade using traditional methods, finds its place perfectly in this glamorous, romantic and relaxing atmosphere. Our largest basin unit constitutes a wonderful option for bathrooms providing sufficient space as this one. It features a stunning classic marble white Arabescato finish, hand-cut with detailed moulding and characterized by black veins, echoing with the flowers’ long stems. This precious piece also includes his and her deep and spacious basins, made in hand-poured china for a unique result. Its stand, created here in a chrome finish, blends in beautifully with the silver-tinted wallpaper and the embroidered curtains, made from saris, which are draped at the windows. Last but not least: the mirrored sections, which create the illusion of a bigger room, have been designed in a way to outline the pre-existing wooden panelling with elegance. Kowalske Kitchen & Bath designed and remodeled this Delafield master bathroom. The original space had a small oak vanity and a shower insert. The homeowners wanted a modern farmhouse bathroom to match the rest of their home. They asked for a double vanity and large walk-in shower. They also needed more storage and counter space. Although the space is nearly all white, there is plenty of visual interest. This bathroom is layered with texture and pattern. For instance, this bathroom features shiplap walls, pretty hexagon tile, and simple matte black fixtures. Modern Farmhouse Features: - Winning color palette: shades of black/white & wood tones - Shiplap walls - Sliding barn doors, separating the bedroom & toilet room - Wood-look porcelain tiled floor & shower niche, set in a herringbone pattern - Matte black finishes (faucets, lighting, hardware & mirrors) - Classic subway tile - Chic carrara marble hexagon shower floor tile - The shower has 2 shower heads & 6 body jets, for a spa-like experience - The custom vanity has a grooming organizer for hair dryers & curling irons - The custom linen cabinet holds 3 baskets of laundry. Richard Downer This Georgian property is in an outstanding location with open views over Dartmoor and the sea beyond. Our brief for this project was to transform the property which has seen many unsympathetic alterations over the years with a new internal layout, external renovation and interior design scheme to provide a timeless home for a young family. The property required extensive remodelling both internally and externally to create a home that our clients call their “forever home”. Our refurbishment retains and restores original features such as fireplaces and panelling while incorporating the client's personal tastes and lifestyle. More specifically a dramatic dining room, a hard working boot room and a study/DJ room were requested. The interior scheme gives a nod to the Georgian architecture while integrating the technology for today's living. Generally throughout the house a limited materials and colour palette have been applied to give our client's the timeless, refined interior scheme they desired. Granite, reclaimed slate and washed walnut floorboards make up the key materials.

Welcome to The Farmhouse Master Bathroom with a modern twist! The antique buffet re-purposed into a slate gray double sink vanity with stainless steel vessel sinks and oil rubbed bronze faucets. La Lanterne - la sensation de bien-être à habiter Rénovation complète d’un appartement marseillais du centre-ville avec une approche très singulière et inédite « d'architecte artisan ». Le processus de conception est in situ, et « menuisé main », afin de proposer un habitat transparent et qui fait la part belle au bois! Situé au quatrième et dernier étage d'un immeuble de type « trois fenêtres » en façade sur rue, 60m2 acquis sous la forme très fragmentée d'anciennes chambres de bonnes et débarras sous pente, cette situation à permis de délester les cloisons avec comme pari majeur de placer les pièces d'eau les plus intimes, au cœur d'une « maison » voulue traversante et transparente. Les pièces d'eau sont devenues comme un petit pavillon « lanterne » à la fois discret bien que central, aux parois translucides orientées sur chacune des pièces qu'il contribue à définir, agrandir et éclairer : • entrée avec sa buanderie cachée, • bibliothèque pour la pièce à vivre • grande chambre transformable en deux • mezzanine au plus près des anciens mâts de bateau devenus les poutres et l'âme de la toiture et du plafond. • cage d’escalier devenue elle aussi paroi translucide pour intégrer le puit de lumière naturelle. Et la terrasse, surélevée d'un mètre par rapport à l'ensemble, au lieu d'en être coupée, lui donne, en contrepoint des hauteurs sous pente, une sensation « cosy » de contenance. Tout le travail sur mesure en bois a été « menuisé » in situ par l’architecte-artisan lui-même (pratique autodidacte grâce à son collectif d’architectes làBO et son père menuisier). Au résultat : la sédimentation, la sculpture progressive voire même le « jardinage » d'un véritable lieu, plutôt que la « livraison » d'un espace préconçu. Le lieu conçu non seulement de façon très visuelle, mais aussi très hospitalière pour accueillir et marier les présences des corps, des volumes, des matières et des lumières : la pierre naturelle du mur maître, le bois vieilli des poutres, les tomettes au sol, l’acier, le verre, le polycarbonate, le sycomore et le hêtre.

The gorgeous master bathroom was designed with a lighter color palette than the rest of the home. We wanted the space to feel light, airy, and comfortable, so we chose a pale pastel wall color which really made the herringbone tiled flooring pop! The large walk-in shower is surrounded by glass, allowing plenty of natural light in while adding the to new and improved spacious design.
