Combining an everyday hallway bathroom with the main guest bath/powder room is not an easy task. The hallway bath needs to have a lot of utility with durable materials and functional storage. It also wants to be a bit “dressy” to make house guests feel special. This bathroom needed to do both. We first addressed its utility with bathroom necessities including the tub/shower. The recessed medicine cabinet in combination with an elongated vanity tackles all the storage needs including a concealed waste bin. Thoughtfully placed towel hooks are mostly out of sight behind the door while the half-wall hides the paper holder and a niche for other toilet necessities. It’s the materials that elevate this bathroom to powder room status. The tri-color marble penny tile sets the scene for the color palette. Carved black marble wall tile adds the necessary drama flowing along two walls. The remaining two walls of tile keep the room durable while softening the effects of the black walls and vanity. Rounded elements such as the light fixtures and the apron sink punctuate and carry the theme of the floor tile throughout the bathroom. Polished chrome fixtures along with the beefy frameless glass shower enclosure add just enough sparkle and contrast.

The Brecon fitted vanity units are in clay gloss with a polar quartz matt worktop. The flooring is complimentary in grey riven slate with a design strip.

Continuing with the contemporary art theme seen throughout the home, this luxe master bathroom remodel was the second phase in a full condo remodel in NW Portland. Features such as colorful wallpaper, wall-mounted washlet toilet and sink faucet, floating vanity with strip lighting underneath, marble-look quartz counters, and large-format porcelain tile all make this small space feel much larger. For a touch of flair and function, the bathroom features a fun, hot pink sink faucet, strategically placed art niche, and custom cabinetry for optimal storage. It was also important to our client to create a home where she could have accessibility while aging. We added features like a curb-less shower, shower seat, grab bars, and ample lighting so the space will continue to meet her needs for many years to come.

The client was looking for a highly practical and clean-looking modernisation of this en-suite shower room. We opted to clad the entire room in wet wall shower panelling to give it the practicality the client was after. The subtle matt sage green was ideal for making the room look clean and modern, while the marble feature wall gave it a real sense of luxury. High quality cabinetry and shower fittings provided the perfect finish for this wonderful en-suite.

Multiple grey tones combine for this bathroom project in Hove, with traditional shaker-fitted furniture. The Brief Like many other bathroom renovations we tackle, this client sought to replace a traditional shower over bath with a walk-in shower space. In terms of style, the space required a modernisation with a neutral design that wouldn’t age quickly. The space needed to remain relatively spacious, yet with enough storage for all bathroom essentials. Other amenities like underfloor heating and a full-height towel rail were also favoured within the design. Design Elements Placing the shower in the corner of the room really dictated the remainder of the layout, with the fitted furniture then placed wall-to-wall beneath the window in the room. The chosen furniture is a fitted option from British supplier R2. It is from their shaker style Stow range and has been selected in a complimenting Midnight Grey colourway. The furniture is composed of a concealed cistern unit, semi-recessed basin space and then a two-drawer cupboard for storage. Atop, a White Marble work surface nicely finishes off this area of the room. An R2 Altitude mirrored cabinet is used near the door area to add a little extra storage and important mirrored space. Special Inclusions The showering area required an inventive solution, resulting in small a platform being incorporated into the design. Within this area, a towel rail features, alongside a Crosswater shower screen and brassware from Arco. The shower area shows the great tile combination that has been chosen for this space. A Natural Grey finish teams well with the Fusion Black accent tile used for the shower platform area. Quick and easy update with to a full guest bathroom we did in conjunction with the owner's suite bathroom with Landmark Remodeling. We made sure that the changes were cost effective and still had a wow factor to them. We did a luxury vinyl plank to save money and did a tiled shower surround with decorative feature to heighten the finish level. We also did mixed metals and an equal balance of tan and gray to keep it from being trendy.
