This character-filled century home bathroom received a complete redesign by removing a closet and moving the toilet to create a larger shower area. Designer Michelle Bortolotto gave the room a fresh, modern feel while maintaining the house’s innate charm. Exposed wooden beams offer structural support with a wonderful rustic touch, drawing the eye to the unique tiled shower. The vanity installed is Waypoint LivingSpaces 650F Cherry Java with a toilet topper cabinet. The countertop, shower curb and shower seat is Eternia Quartz in Edmonton color. A Kohler Fairfax collection in oil rubbed bronze includes the faucet, towel bar, towel holder, toilet paper holder, and grab bars. The toilet is Kohler Cimmarron comfort height in white. In the shower, the floor and partial shower tile is WOW Craft Vintage subway tile and 12x12 Slaty, multi-color tile. On the floor is Slaty 2x2 mosaic multi-color tile.

Il progetto di Porta Romana è stato realizzato studiando una soluzione che valorizzasse al massimo lo spazio che inizialmente aveva la classica configurazione milanese di un appartamento in cui gli ambienti sono serviti da un corridoio. Abbiamo voluto enfatizzare il punto di forza di questo appartamento: la sua luminosità. Si tratta infatti di una casa che seppur al primo piano gode di ampio respiro, con la facciata principale che, non avendo palazzi a ridosso, si collega con un asse visivo a diversi isolati adiacenti. Due ambienti ed il corridoio sono stati uniti e trasformati in un luminoso open space in cui troviamo la zona living e la cucina, con un tavolo allungabile, divano e un mobile tv su misura che include tre ante a tutt’altezza per spazio contenitore. In ogni progetto mettiamo al primo posto il comfort del cliente. E’ per questo che nonostante si tratti di un bilocale sono stati ricavati due bagni: uno per gli ospiti e uno privato in camera. Come già anticipato il focus principale è stata la luce; ecco allora che tra il bagno padronale e il bagno di servizio, che risulta cieco, è stata aperta una finestra nella parte superiore della parete confinante che porta luce naturale all’interno di quest’ultimo. Infine, la camera padronale, di metratura generosa, è stata progettata individuando due zone: quella notte e quella lettura per cui è stata sfruttata una nicchia con delle mensole ed un piano d’appoggio. Il letto, invece, è stato incorniciato da un armadio a ponte realizzato su misura. Fa da sfondo la carta da parati Wall&Decò, La Gabbia, in armonia con i toni neutri scelti per la camera e che caratterizza l’ambiente con il tema della natura.

Innovative Design Build was hired to renovate a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo in the prestigious Symphony building in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The project included a full renovation of the kitchen, guest bathroom and primary bathroom. We also did small upgrades throughout the remainder of the property. The goal was to modernize the property using upscale finishes creating a streamline monochromatic space. The customization throughout this property is vast, including but not limited to: a hidden electrical panel, popup kitchen outlet with a stone top, custom kitchen cabinets and vanities. By using gorgeous finishes and quality products the client is sure to enjoy his home for years to come.

The client chose the large format wall tile to accentuate the 10-ft tall ceilings within the room and to carry your eye upwards. The floor and wall tile were chosen to blend with the existing bathroom floor tile that remained. The schluter edging was matched to the color of the tile, blending seamlessly to keep focus on the beautiful tile installation.

Pink, aqua and purple are colours they both love, and had already been incorporated into their existing decor, so we used those colours as the starting point and went from there. In the bathroom, the Victorian walls are high and the natural light levels low. The many small rooms were demolished and one larger open plan space created. The pink terrazzo tiling unites the room and makes the bathroom space feel more inviting and less cavernous. ‘Fins’ are used to define the functional spaces (toilet, laundry, vanity, shower). They also provide an architectural detail to tie in the Victorian window and ceiling heights with the 80s extension that is just a step outside the bathroom.

The natural shades in the tile set the stage beautifully for the pop of blue color in the vanity. Gold accents warm up the space, adding warmth. The banjo style countertop extends over the toilet, providing extra counter or storage space in this modest bathroom.

Tropical Bathroom in Horsham, West Sussex Sparkling brushed-brass elements, soothing tones and patterned topical accent tiling combine in this calming bathroom design. The Brief This local Horsham client required our assistance refreshing their bathroom, with the aim of creating a spacious and soothing design. Relaxing natural tones and design elements were favoured from initial conversations, whilst designer Martin was also to create a spacious layout incorporating present-day design components. Design Elements From early project conversations this tropical tile choice was favoured and has been incorporated as an accent around storage niches. The tropical tile choice combines perfectly with this neutral wall tile, used to add a soft calming aesthetic to the design. To add further natural elements designer Martin has included a porcelain wood-effect floor tile that is also installed within the walk-in shower area. The new layout Martin has created includes a vast walk-in shower area at one end of the bathroom, with storage and sanitaryware at the adjacent end. The spacious walk-in shower contributes towards the spacious feel and aesthetic, and the usability of this space is enhanced with a storage niche which runs wall-to-wall within the shower area. Small downlights have been installed into this niche to add useful and ambient lighting. Throughout this space brushed-brass inclusions have been incorporated to add a glitzy element to the design. Special Inclusions With plentiful storage an important element of the design, two furniture units have been included which also work well with the theme of the project. The first is a two drawer wall hung unit, which has been chosen in a walnut finish to match natural elements within the design. This unit is equipped with brushed-brass handleware, and atop, a brushed-brass basin mixer from Aqualla has also been installed. The second unit included is a mirrored wall cabinet from HiB, which adds useful mirrored space to the design, but also fantastic ambient lighting. This cabinet is equipped with demisting technology to ensure the mirrored area can be used at all times. Project Highlight The sparkling brushed-brass accents are one of the most eye-catching elements of this design. A full array of brassware from Aqualla’s Kyloe collection has been used for this project, which is equipped with a subtle knurled finish. The End Result The result of this project is a renovation that achieves all elements of the initial project brief, with a remarkable design. A tropical tile choice and brushed-brass elements are some of the stand-out features of this project which this client can will enjoy for many years. In this guest bathroom Medallion Cabinetry in the Maple Bella Biscotti Door Style Vanity with Cambria Montgomery Quartz countertop with 4” high backsplash was installed. The vanity is accented with Amerock Blackrock pulls and knobs. The shower tile is 8” HexArt Deco Turquoise Hexagon Matte tile for the back shower wall and back of the niche. The shower walls and niche sides feature 4”x16” Ice White Glossy subway tile. Cardinal Shower Heavy Swing Door. Coordinating 8” HexArt Turquoise 8” Hexagon Matte Porcelain tile for the bath floor.
