A local homeowner partnered with VPC Builders to create the mountain retreat of his dreams. The custom-built, two-level residence stands at 3200 square feet and features three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, a bonus room, and a two-car garage. Upon arrival, viewers are immediately captivated by a modern double front door, unique cedar trim, and bold dark colors. The exterior showcases Cypress siding and black roofing. A thin-cut, natural stone veneer placed around the covered front porch incorporates the rustic mountain setting. Inside the home, the natural lighting provides a bright and crisp space that compliments the recessed lighting and hickory engineered flooring. The living room boasts a reclaimed accent mantle, true steel beams, and a vaulted ceiling. The area provides an ideal space for entertaining on cooler evenings with a full steel gas fireplace. The kitchen and dining area are visible from the living room and were custom-designed to reflect the homeowner’s passion for cooking. The kitchen harbors a double-thick island top, stunning quartz countertops, a six-burner oven, steel hood, and a full custom quartz backsplash...perfect for an aspiring chef. The master bedroom, complete with a deck access and full bath, provides the homeowner with a private getaway. The master bathroom has a double vanity sink with a quartz countertop and a full glass steam shower. Each of the two guest rooms are fit for a queen-sized bed. They each include a full bath displaying stunning tile designs and built-in showers. Another noteworthy attribute of the home is a covered back porch deck that features a fireplace, television mount, and a built-in bar window that connects to the kitchen. Modern Rustic Lodge truly offers a stunning escape to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Every detail was tailored to complement the homeowner’s lifestyle and avocations. VPC is confident that this home will provide mountain adventures and lasting memories for years to come.

In this project, Glenbrook Cabinetry helped to create a modern farmhouse-inspired master bathroom. First, we designed a walnut double vanity, stained with Night Forest to allow the warmth of the grain to show through. Next on the opposing wall, we designed a make-up vanity to expanded storage and counter space. We additionally crafted a complimenting linen closet in the private toilet room with custom cut-outs. Each built-in piece uses brass hardware to bring warmth and a bit of contrast to the cool tones of the cabinetry and flooring. The finishing touch is the custom shiplap wall coverings, which add a slightly rustic touch to the room.

This room is a triumph as a family bathroom, there is plenty of room for the kids to splash about at bathtime and the roll top is the perfect relaxation space for a long soak for the parents. There was room to have a seperate walk in shower and a fabulous bespoke vanity unit, painted in Inchrya Blue by Farrow & Ball, so a win all round! So lucky to have an original fireplace here, which the client had dipped to remove years of gloss paint, revealing it's true splendour

Contrasting the contemporary fixtures and cabinetry, the walls display traditional Tongue and Groove paneling. This classic design detail pays homage to the home’s rich history. This clever design allows both children to access the bathroom directly from their respective bedrooms, ensuring convenience and privacy. The room resonates with youthful energy and sophisticated touches. At its heart is the single sink vanity that brilliantly incorporates dual water faucets, ensuring both kids have their space during the morning rush. Painted in a captivating teal hue named ‘Silk Sari’, the vanity is both a statement piece, but a touch of modern. Above, a full wall vanity mirror stretches from end to end, creating a feeling of depth and ensuring every angle is reflected.
