Last summer Blues Bros. Const. renovated two bathrooms in my 70 year-old house. Batel, the project manage, was very patient with my requests and the problems that occur in work in an old house. I stayed on premises with my dog throughout the 8 weeks and especially appreciated the family crew of Gabriel, Jesus and Veronica who did the reconstruction and tile. So far I am pleased with the job, but am assured, if anything is not right, Blues Brothers will be back to fix it.

We were referred to Blues Brothers (Kitchen Makers) by our GC. From the beginning, communication was very inefficient. The general manager, Natalee, expects the homeowner to understand and translate kitchen architectural drawings. Unfortunately, since they took so long to get us our approved drawings, that did not provide us enough time to move forward with finding another solution for our kitchen and bathroom cabinets and countertops. They require absolute 100% payment upfront, with zero consideration for any payment plan. They also have a bathroom showroom next door; I was in there for a while shopping. Once I saw how frustrating the cabinet order was, I immediately took our plumbing business to another showroom. They didn’t understand, nor did they care that I took my business elsewhere. Every time I reached out to them, they always gave me the impression I was bothering them; of course, that is when they would finally respond. The minute they installed our kitchen island, I pointed out a damaged drawer and a missing slider for the trash; from that point, it still took them nearly three months to replace the damaged drawer and install the slider. When they did install the slider, they left all of the excess in our home; they removed none of the extra cabinet pieces. Visually, the cabinets look fantastic, but the quality is subpar. They didn’t understand what the appliance guy needed when he said there was no support inside the cabinets. The appliance vendor had to show them that the appliances needed some base to sit inside the cabinets. I was at a loss for words when this took place. I was under the impression you installed kitchen cabinets; how else would you support the kitchen appliances? Do our cabinets and countertops look great? Yes, they do. Would I ever recommend Blues Brothers (Kitchen Makers) to anyone? Not at all!

We couldn't be any happier with the way our kitchen remodel and whole house flooring replacement turned out, or our experience with the process. Blues Brothers was the first company we interviewed; I immediately liked Batel and after interviewing half a dozen others, knew she was the right fit. She delivered on everything she said, quickly addressed issues that arose (which were not many or very significant), and spotted all the little finishing-up details. The project finished on time, and it was the easiest renovation project we've done, even though it was a kitchen which should have disrupted our lives more. Batel is extremely good at her job and a great person. We ordered our materials through their design shop, and it was really helpful that Blues Brothers was able to coordinate with them directly on delivery and other materials issues. It made my life easier and we are happy with the quality too. The construction team was also great; they showed up every day, worked hard all day, cleaned up every day, were pleasant to have around (we work mostly at home), and responsive to our requests. It was an incredibly smooth project from beginning to end. We are so happy with our experience and our kitchen, and highly recommend Blues Brothers!

I contacted Blues Bro back in late 2020 and then we went over some things. In the mean time I took my sweet time and contacted other agencies aswell trying to see where I get the most value for my money, it was here. I locked in the contract, to the person getting work done please go back and forth and negotiate. I hired them so that I would not have to deal with contractors for my adu.. I was happy on my results and how my project turned out to be. I gave my own rough blueprints to Blues Bros which helped a lot. Project mgn was Sussan and cordinators changed but Renne was very, very helpful. Payments were done in installs of each step the project goes through.. they have an app it tells you when the payment will be done. I bought most of my own stuff, even though they have inventory inhouse. I would recommend to future client, negotiate, read the contract and be upfront with budget and leave a little buffer. Have communication with both contractors and Blues Bros. Be on top of things right away from the first second. Get the number of the contractors and there boss and ask for weekly of daily status of work. If something is off have chat with both Blues and Contractors right away. Everyone has the same end goal, which is to finish the job so stay on top of it.

We are really happy with the work Alexandra and her team did on our kitchen remodel. She kept us updated at each step of the way and also worked with us with making design decisions about the kitchen. Her team was also very diligent and thoughtful. Blues Brothers Construction helped me remodel my bathroom. They did a professional job and their team was a pleasure to work with . Alexandra served as point of contact and general project manager and she was courteous , profesional , knowledgeable and very helpful throughout the process. I always felt like the project was in good hands throughout. The final result was a great -looking bathroom that I love . I had a great experience with BBC , we never had communication issues and questions were always answered in a timely manner . I am very satisfied with the entire project and I will definitely be using them for my future project. I highly recommend them !

I hired Onn and Blues Brothers Construction bc he seemed approachable, thorough, and detail-oriented. My husband and I had just bought our first house and it needed electrical, plumbing, and foundation work. we decided to also renovate a bathroom, and planned to convert our garage to an ADU once the first set of work was complete. Unfortunately as soon as we signed a contract Onn went MIA, and all communication was through Renee, the office manager. I rarely was able to talk directly with anyone who actually knew the project or the work being done. It often took a week or longer to get answers to my questions. Onn said he would fix my foundation, then took 3 months to get me a quote which was 10x what a competitor quoted, and then he finally told me he didn't want to do the work anyway and I should find someone else. I paid him to make up blueprints for the ADU conversion. They were supposed to be finished in 5-6 weeks, but 3 months later I couldn't get answers about progress. I finally told Onn to forget the blueprints and asked for a refund, He verbally agreed on the phone. Several mistakes were made that caused delays, including not properly flashing the plumbing vent pipes on the roof which left holes for water to come in and resulted in a huge mold issue inside the walls. Over the next 4 weeks I was told 4 times that the mold was taken care of, only to find more mold in the walls. I finally hired an outside mold remediation expert who followed actual protocol (sealed the area, brought in a dehumidifier, etc) and took care of everything in 5 days. Much of the finish work was sloppy or steps skipped (the EV charger they installed wasn't plugged into the electrical panel when we tried to use it). Once our project finished, it took another 3 months to settle final payment and paperwork bc Onn kept agreeing to terms then arguing back about them, and tried to get us to 1. waive our warranties, and 2. sign a non-disparagement clause (so we wouldn't be allowed to leave a bad review). Longer review with more detail is on Yelp. Needless to say, we opted not to do the ADU conversion with Blues Brothers and found a different contractor for that project.

Mika Aloni and the Blues Brothers Construction team are amazing! Mika Aloni was the Project Manager for the remodel of my kitchen and bathroom and she did a great job. The rooms look brand new and I'm thrilled with the work. I highly recommend Mika Aloni and Blues Brothers Construction for your remodel projects.

After many years and driven by spending so much time at home due to the pandemic, I decided it was time for a complete remodel of my kitchen. I contacted several potential contractors and had them submit bids. Of the 5 contractors who responded, Mika Aloni was the most diligent and responsive. She was not only the person who came to my house to survey the kitchen and submit the bid, she was also the project manager. I must congratulate her on a job well done! I could not have been more pleased. She always had my back from the beginning through the end no matter what problem we encountered. She always came up with the right solution. I highly recommend her.

Even though I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted when we started remodeling our master bathroom, I got everything I was hoping for and love the results. This was my first remodel and I didn't know what to expect. The Blues Brothers construction team guided us through the process. Bat-el provided a great design based on my preferences, listened carefully to any concerns or requests throughout the project, found the appropriate products, and Joe's crew delivered a masterpiece. Joe is very knowledgeable and paid attention to the smallest details. His team was friendly and conscientious and kept the house clean while they demolished and rebuilt our bathroom. We started this project during the Covid-19 shut down which caused its own set of problems with choosing and deliveries of products and getting permits timely, but eventually the project was completed beautifully and with great craftsmanship. I would recommend Blues Brothers Construction for remodeling jobs and will use them again when we're ready to start our next project.

Blue Bros did a shower remodel in a condo to address a leak in the water pan. Great team to work with and the finished result was a beautiful update to the bathroom and seemlessly covered up holes from previous repair attempts. Their project management team (Batel, Ti-Lin) kept me up to date every step of the way and were responsive and friendly. The price of the work was a bit high, but when unexpected snafus came up, they stepped up and brought the project back on schedule - in other words, you get good quality when you pay for it. Overall, the quality of the construction was great; the work areas were kept clean, there was noticeable attention to detail, and the material quality was top-notch. Happy to recommend them.

I used Blues Brothers to remodel a bathroom in my house. We love how the final product turned out! The team (managed by Onn and Jenny) was professional and kept the area clean and safe during the job, which was essential since we have little ones roaming around. At the end of the job they made sure everything was to our satisfaction. All the folks they sent on a daily basis were very nice and extremely hard working. The company is organized with written contracts (do read them) and the city permitting process. They even brought a portable toilet. I would use them again for another job.

This is only the second renovation we have done but compared to our first which was a 900 sq. ft. apartment in Brooklyn, the scale of this project in our first ever house with 2,400 sq. ft. was much more involved. We had pretty major structural changes which required an engineer, we fully gutted/renovated the kitchen/living room/dining room to be one open space. This required lots of collaboration and design perspective from Blues Brothers and they really came through for us. We came in to the project with our own notions of how things could get done and our design preferences and they both managed and complimented those expectations. Blues Brothers was reasonable, fair, and honest regarding budget, timeline (which blew up due to covid), and feasibility. We worked through plenty of challenges together and in the end everyone remained professional, helpful, concerned, and we got the job done. We are very happy with the end result and learned a lot in the process.

BBC is the best in the business for luxury kitchen, bathroom and high end remodel projects. Onn is very experienced and cares about your project from start to finish. He's the only general contractor that I will use in California

Onn and his team did a great job with our kitchen remodel. We are so happy with the result and it came a long way from where it started. We bought a 1959 house that needed a lot of work. The kitchen was tiny! And every single appliance was in an awkward location. Onn and his team helped envision a brand new layout--including knocking down a closet and wall--to create the kitchen of our dreams. Like with any major renovation project, you expect the inevitable hiccup or two, but honestly, very few things went wrong with our project. And the very tiny issues we did have, Onn and his team were really responsive and we worked together quickly to resolve them. Every time we had a question or wanted to make a change, they were really understanding and did whatever they could to make sure we were happy. I especially appreciated the trash detail and clean up, which is a super important part of any reno job that many contractors don't take as seriously! All in all a really great experience and fantastic work!

Onn is a real professional. As soon as you meet him, you see you are dealing with a real professional contractor. We met with 4 different contractors and he was the only one with so much knowledge. I picked him for a full renovation project, we did full kitchen renovation, bathrooms, knocked 3 walls down, exterior was completely redone as well, including a new pool, Stucco, Paint and new drywall where we knocked the walls down. The job was done in 3 months. I was amazed by how many people worked in one day! Would hire them and won't hesitate.

Onn and his team did a GREAT job with our master bath remodel. 
It came out better than we ever imagined and they were very professional and attentive to our needs. 

The communication was great, crew kept everything clean, and they provided a great experience and made sure everything was perfect. Of course there were some challenges with a 20 year old home but Onn made sure they figured out how to meet our expectations and stay within budget.

Blues Brothers delivers outstanding service, and a quick turnaround. I heard about them through my neighbor who has uses them for years. If you are looking for someone to contract, build, paint, or remodel Onn is your guy. When other contractors told me things couldn't be done, Onn told me they could, and he provided what I wanted with professional service. If there was something I wasn't happy with, he had it fixed to my satisfaction. These guys are on top of their game. Jenny was a pleasure to work with. We really appreciated her design skills- she hit it spot on to me and my wife's taste. I also feel like she really listened to our needs and made a design accordingly/ Our project included breaking some walls to expand my bedroom and master bathroom. Every day there were crew members on site working hard to complete the project. They were very respectful of the house and especially since we were working from home. The project was also finished in a timely manner. Jenny gave great customer service and I would highly recommend Blues Brothers!

I bought a house last spring and wanted to do some major remodeling around the house- floowing, kitchen, bathrooms, paint, upgrading fixtures… This is my second home so I'm familiar with the typical nightmare-ish mishaps that can occur. Having said that, I was very careful to interview everyone before making a decision. Blues Brothers Construction spent 3 hours at our house going over all the details that we wanted done. I originally got referred to Blues Brothers through my neighbor down the street who redid her home, she spoke highly of them and showed me her house and I was glad to hear they did a quality job from start to finish. I got the same service from them, staying within our budget, sticking to the timeline, and completing the job with minimal hassle to my family and I. Communication throughout the process was easy, they were always avaialble to take our calls and assist with our questions. I highly recomment these guys.

I used Blues Brothers Construction for my kitchen remodel. I wanted new dark cabinets and a open window to connect to the rest of the house. Blues Brothers offered me a good price compared to the other companies but it also seemed like the right feel to go with them based on Onn's personality and professionalism. At the end, my husband and I are very happy with the work. The cabinets turned out beautiful and we were able to finish a bit earlier than they promised. Thank you!

We love our new bathroom! It turned out exactly as we had hoped and planned, and we wouldn't change a thing. All thanks go to Blues Brothers Construction, and especially to Onn. We've done several remodels and this was the most fun and satisfying. Like the other remodels, there were problems and mistakes to be dealt with along the way. The difference with this company is how they handled the issues. In every case, they listened to our concerns without defensiveness and insisted on doing it correctly without shortcuts. Several times, I indicated I would be satisfied with a less expensive workaround, but Onn assigned someone immediately to do it right or even worked the issue himself. This often resulted in something better than we had originally envisioned. The employees and independent contractors were all very pleasant to work with. The tile installer was especially skilled at his craft and went above and beyond in making sure the tile went in perfectly. In a few cases, the installers were not very familiar with the products they were installing, but they were very receptive to our suggestions or pointing out where something was going off track, so everything turned out great in the end. Onn has set up very effective processes for his company. Communication was excellent and the employees and contractors were all aware of the schedule, daily tasks and routines, and the design plan. All the employees were very engaged and seemed to like and respect their employer. Onn's plans were very detailed and made it very easy to iterate on the design and track the construction progress. The professionalism of their process was similar to much larger, more expensive firms but, instead of resulting in increased costs like the others, we think it improved their efficiency and held down costs. As they stated, They are not the cheapest or most expensive contractor, and we found that to be true. The quote was very fair but what set them apart is that the estimate didn't change at all through the design process except for some very small additions that we clearly added. And the same price and schedule held through the entire project, again except for a few small changes we requested. Onn suggested several design tweaks that all improved the final product but all were no cost items and or very minor charges where they clearly needed to order more expensive materials. This was a vastly different experience from other contractors who promised a range of cost but grossly inflated the price after detailing the design even though nothing changed. All in all, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Blues Brothers Construction for any home remodel and will gladly go to them again for our future needs.
