The classical Carrera marble look in a modern layout. Hex mosaic tiles for the floor and shower pan. A hidden drain unit with tiles imbedded in it. Subway layout of 3x6 Carrera tiles with 5/8" pencil liner for the trim lines and corners. A vertical chevron style Carrera mosaic 12x12 pieces right in the center of the plumbing fixtures to act as the center piece of this bathroom. Two matching sizes his\hers shampoo niches perfectly positioned in symmetrically opposite the plumbing wall.

Lee & James wanted to update to their primary bathroom and ensuite closet. It was a small space that had a few pain points. The closet footprint was minimal and didn’t allow for sufficient organization of their wardrobe, a daily struggle for the couple. In addition, their ensuite bathroom had a shower that was petite, and the door from the bedroom was glass paned so it didn’t provide privacy. Also, the room had no bathtub – something they had desired for the ten years they’d lived in the home. The bedroom had an indent that took up much of one wall with a large wardrobe inside. Nice, but it didn’t take the place of a robust closet. The McAdams team helped the clients create a design that extended the already cantilevered area where the primary bathroom sat to give the room a little more square footage, which allowed us to include all the items the couple desired. The indent and wardrobe in the primary bedroom wall were removed so that the interior of the wall could be incorporated as additional closet space. New sconces were placed on either side of the bed, and a ceiling fan was added overhead for ultimate comfort on warm summer evenings. The former closet area was repurposed to create the couple’s new and improved (and now much larger) shower. Beautiful Bianco St. Croix tile was installed on the walls and floor of the shower and a frameless glass door highlighting the fabulous Brizo rainshower head and Delta adjustable handheld showerhead all combine to provide the ultimate showering experience. A gorgeous walnut vanity with a Calacutta Gold Honed Marble slab top (that coordinates with the kitchen) replaced the old cabinet. A matte black Pottery Barn Vintage Pill Shaped Mirror was placed above the undermount sink, while a striking LED pendant serves as the main light source. The newly added square footage allows for a Victoria and Albert stand-alone soaking tub with an adjacent towel warmer, all of which almost makes you forget you’re in a home and not a high-end spa. Finally, just past the new Toto toilet with bidet, the couple got their new, large walk-in closet with customized storage solutions for their individual needs. The transformation absolutely helped Lee and James love their home again!

In a cozy suburban home nestled beneath the sprawling oak trees, a bathroom transformation was underway. The tile flooring he chose was a rich, dark brown, which contrasted beautifully with the mosaic walls. As Jon stepped onto it, he could feel the cool, smooth surface beneath his feet. But the real showstopper in his bathroom was the custom shower kit. With sleek, modern fixtures that included a rainforest-like roof shower and a wall-mounted acrylic photo frame, this shower was not just a place to get clean—it was a sanctuary of relaxation and self-expression. The wall shower was a stunning addition, adding to the sense of luxury. Adjacent to the shower, the bathroom sink and tap, both with a contemporary design, were placed atop a bathroom cabinet. The cabinet provided storage space for all of Jon's bathroom essentials, neatly tucked away behind stylish cabinet doors. A towel hanger hung conveniently on one of the walls, ready to embrace freshly washed towels. Nearby, a wall-mounted photo frame held a cherished memory—a moment captured in time—a testament to Jon's personal touch in designing this space. For a finishing touch, a wall mirror adorned one side of the bathroom, reflecting the beauty of the room and creating an illusion of spaciousness. Next to the mirror, a hanger was mounted for Jon to hang his robes and clothing, maintaining the bathroom's clean and organized appearance. As he gazed around his custom bathroom, Jon marveled at how each element came together to create a space that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Every morning, he would step into his oasis, bask in the glow of the mosaic tiles, and let the water from his custom shower kit wash away the stresses of the day. This bathroom, carefully curated with love and attention to detail, was a testament to Jon's unique personality and the comfort he sought in his home.

Our clients wanted a REAL master bathroom with enough space for both of them to be in there at the same time. Their house, built in the 1940’s, still had plenty of the original charm, but also had plenty of its original tiny spaces that just aren’t very functional for modern life. The original bathroom had a tiny stall shower, and just a single vanity with very limited storage and counter space. Not to mention kitschy pink subway tile on every wall. With some creative reconfiguring, we were able to reclaim about 25 square feet of space from the bedroom. Which gave us the space we needed to introduce a double vanity with plenty of storage, and a HUGE walk-in shower that spans the entire length of the new bathroom! While we knew we needed to stay true to the original character of the house, we also wanted to bring in some modern flair! Pairing strong graphic floor tile with some subtle (and not so subtle) green tones gave us the perfect blend of classic sophistication with a modern glow up. Our clients were thrilled with the look of their new space, and were even happier about how large and open it now feels!
