Rafraîchissement d'un pied à terre Cannois

Le projet Croix des Gardes consistait à rafraîchir un pied-à-terre à Cannes, avec comme maîtres mots : minimalisme, luminosité et modernité. Ce 2 pièces sur les hauteurs de Cannes avait séduit les clients par sa vue à couper le souffle sur la baie de Cannes, et sa grande chambre qui en faisait l'appartement de vacances idéal. Cependant, la cuisine et la salle de bain manquaient d'ergonomie, de confort et de clarté. La partie salle de bain était auparavant une pièce très chargée : plusieurs revêtements muraux avec des motifs et des couleurs différentes, papier peint fleuri au plafond, un grand placard face à la porte... La salle de bain est maintenant totalement transformée, comme agrandie ! Le grand placard à laissé la place à un meuble vasque, avec des rangements et un lave linge tandis que la baignoire a été remplacée par un grand bac à douche extra-plat. Le sol et la faïence ont été remplacés par un carrelage effet bois blanchi et texturé, créant une pièce aux tons apaisants.

This master bath needed some improvement! The shower was very small and dated...with mold growing in all sorts of hidden spaces! The tile was improperly installed, so the grout was cracking. The corner whirlpool tub was difficult to use. To improve this bath, we removed a built-in cabinet, moved a wall, and changed double doors to a single one so the shower could be expanded. The corner whirlpool tub was removed and replaced with a smaller rectangular tub to open up the space. New tile was installed with accent tile bands and a pattern in the floor. We installed frameless shower glass to give the space an open feel and added two showerheads, three body sprays and a bench. Chester County Kitchen and Bath loved remodeling the Hall and Master Bath at this lovely Chadds Ford home. Clean and Cool Hall Bath The hall bath vanity cabinetry is Echelon Brand in the Addison door style in maple wood with Mocha finish. The hall bath countertop is a beautiful piece of Fantasy Brown Granite with undermount porcelain bowls. The shower was tiled in a clean grey subway tile with glass mosaic stripe and finished with a simple Dreamline Duet shower door. Bright and Warm Master Bath This Master bath and walk-in closet were redesigned to provide a larger closet and create a larger and brighter shower. The vanities are Fieldstone Cabinetry in the Griffith door style in cherry wood with Toffee finish; topped with sandy swirls of Astoria Granite. The large neo-angle shower with glass surround is tiled beautifully. The half walls of the shower provide an ideal spot for the towel bars on the outside and a great spot to conceal the shampoos and soaps on the inside with double built in niches. The stone and glass mosaic used as a waterfall behind the fixtures and as an accent outside the shower at the top of the half walls really bring this custom shower to life.

浴室リフォームの技法には大きく分けて「在来工法」と「ユニットバス (システムバス)」の2通りがあります。

在来工法：「在来工法」とは、壁、床、窓枠、浴槽などを実際の現場で左官、大工、タイル職人等が作り上げていく技法で、浴室の大きさや形に合わせて自由にレイアウトをデザインできたり、趣のあるタイルで壁を演出することができたりといった点が利点と言えます。昔ながらのこの技法には、費用が高い、工期が長い、年数が経つと水漏れの心配がある、などの注意点があります。
ユニットバス（システムバス）：比較的新しいこの技法は、予め工場で生産されたパーツ (壁、バスタブ、シャワーユニットなど) を現場で組み立てていく技法で、防水性、断熱性に優れ、工期を短縮できるだけでなく、費用も大幅に抑えることができます。在来工法と比べると、デザインやレイアウトの自由度が低い点が欠点としてあげられます。

浴室にプラスアルファでお風呂タイムをもっと楽しく

ホテルライクなバスルームに誰しもが憧れたことがあるでしょう。すっきりとした収納、余計なものやプライベート感がない、トイレとバスが一緒の三点ユニットでも清潔感があるのがホテルのバスルームの特徴です。このようなシンプルな印象のバスルームにするコツは、収納をできるかぎり1カ所にまとめるということです。タオルや着替え、トイレットペーパーや洗剤など溢れがち (しかもバスルームに置きがち) な日用品のストックは、必要分だけをコンパクトに整理して、同素材や同系色の収納ボックスやラックにまとめることで、全体を統一感ある印象に見せます。ところで、このようなホテルライクなバスルームはアメリカのバスルームが元になっていますが、アメリカの Houzz サイトの特集記事 (Story) には、“Bathroom 1 1/2” や “Bathroom 3/4” などと表記されているものがあります。これは、バスルームを「バスタブ」、「シャワー」、「トイレ」、「洗面台」の4つ分けて、それぞれ 1/4 と考え、4つすべてある場合は ”Bathroom 1”、それに加えてトイレと洗面台がもう1カ所ずつある場合は “Bathroom 1 1/2”、シャワー、トイレ、洗面台だけでバスタブがない場合は “Bathroom 3/4” のように表現されます。
