Like many older homes, this Craftsman lacked a main level bathroom. Powder rooms are the perfect opportunity to introduce a bit of updated color and pattern to a traditional home - they seem to welcome a little whimsy. Here, a modern sink, a round faceted mirror, and a wall-mounted soap dispenser off set a traditional penny round tile pattern. And as an added twist, a contemporary color pallet was chosen, introducing a more transitional, updated look. This large Scripps Ranch master bathroom remodel is luxurious and functional, incorporating soothing neutral tones and plenty of customized details . The spacious double vanity also features a seating area, ideal for capturing the natural light as you go through your morning routine. The large walk-in shower features dual showerheads and discreet shampoo nook cleverly situated behind the pony wall to keep clutter hidden. In its original state, this bathroom had a large soaking tub that hadn’t been used in years and since they had the space, the client was eager to transform it into a large walk-in shower which better suited their lifestyle. A beautiful mosaic tile was selected for the accent walls and lends dimension to the space while perfectly marrying the other material selections. This bathroom achieved the homeowner’s dream of having a spa-like oasis in their home.

This whole home reno involved creating a kitchen greatroom on the main floor and significantly re configuring the upper floor including making a full master bathroom and converting an extra bedroom into walk in closet. An old family home transformed into a modern home for a great young family home of busy professionals.

This classic Tudor home in Oakland was given a modern makeover with an interplay of soft and vibrant color, bold patterns, and sleek furniture. This small bathroom was made to be simple and dramatic at the same time. The room layout is unchanged from before the renovation and worked well as this is a secondary bathroom used primarily by guests. The glass mosaic was combined with a neutral but complimentary grey tile and installed vertically instead of horizontally. Changing the height of where the glass tile finished created a ‘wave’ pattern for a dramatic effect. A neutral and small mosaic floor tile is contrasted by Walnut laminate cabinets. All of the other finishes blend beautifully with the white fixtures. A floating mirror with under lighting is complimented by ball drop pendant lights.
