Deckengewölbe, Nischen und runde Wände sind charakteristisch für diese tollen Räume. Leider sind sowohl Fliesen und Einrichtungsobjekte ein wenig aus der Zeit gefallen und entsprechen nicht mehr den Vorstellungen meiner Kunden. So habe ich ein schlichtes und zeitloses Badezimmer entworfen, dass die Architektur hervorhebt.

納谷建築設計事務所絵に描いたような三角の土地が道路に突き出した様にあります。
敷地の３辺のうち２辺は、道路に接していて残りの１辺は隣地との境界ですから、どの方向に開いてもプライバシーが侵されます。一方で道路に囲まれていることと、敷地が道路面よりレベルが高いことが幸いして都市部の住宅地なのに一日中日当たりがよく、風抜けのいい環境を計画次第では手に入れることができます。
そこで、敷地の高低差を利用して地階を計画し、北側道路から住宅のアプローチにしました。地下はRC造で、ガレージと駐輪スペース、そしてその間に玄関を計画しました。
また、既存の擁壁の耐圧板に住宅の荷重をかけるのを回避するため、地中梁をキャンチレバーにして、１・２階は地中梁になるべく負担がかからない様に在来工法の木造としました。
プランは、敷地の形状に沿って三角形のプラニングに必要諸室を矩形に内側に入れ子状に配しました。１階はオープンなLDKを中心にワークスペースを付加、２階はプライベートスペースとして個室と水周りを計画し、内外に大小４つの吹抜けを介して繋がり、家のどこでも家族の気配が感じられるようにしました。
すべてのスペースはデッキテラス、光井戸や吹抜けなど、さまざまな外部の余白空間と接しています。
その余白は、外部からの視線を距離や角度の調整によって遮りながら、住宅内部からは開放的でこの土地が本来持っている日当たりが良く風通しのいい環境をそのまま享受します。
三角形の敷地はその形状が故、無駄で使われないスペースとして計画の置き去りにされがちですが、ここでは建築とパブリックの間に積極的に余白空間を取り組むことでプライバシーとパブリックの両方を会得し、街との境界を積極的に生活に取り込むことを試みました。
