“We have had the pleasure to work with Dee on our master bedroom, living room and dining room. She has an amazing ability to design the rooms to exactly fit our wants and needs. We couldn't tell her exactly what our design tastes were or exactly what we wanted but she was still able to design our dream rooms. Dee is great because she not only creates the design, but she handles the scheduling of any contractors that are needed and is also hands on with every aspect of the design install. We were always worried the we wouldn't be able to picture what the final result would be, but when Dee uses her "magic" software we were able to see exactly what the rooms would look like. Not only did she take us out shopping for artwork but she also came up with a great idea with getting our kids involved with the design by having them create some paintings that hang prominently in the dining room. We are looking forward to our next project with Dee which will be the largest so far...the kitchen/family room! We can't wait to get started! Dee is simply a joy to work with!”

“I known Lisa for many years and she has worked on three different houses with me. She has always made sure that all work was completed to my satisfaction. She even made contractors do things over that she wasn't happy with! Lisa went above and beyond on my projects. Designers can be put in difficult situations when a contractor is involved and a home owner isn't happy. She definately went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with everything. Projects worked on with Lisa: Installation of new sinks (with granite having to be cut), painting entire interior, design of drapes and installation, custom shower curtain, having mud room built. Lisa helped in selection of all new toilets, hardware, granite, tile, flooring and all installations as well as her superb advice on furniture, bedding, accessories etc. Lisa has a very optimistic attitude and sweet demeanor. Lisa has done many projects for my friends as well. They have all been very pleased with her work!”

“Working with Kathy Rollins has been a wonderful experience from start to finish! We hired Kathy after we moved into our house to completely redecorate the downstairs portion of the home. She assisted us with some major renovations including the kitchen and bathrooms as well as designing and procuring all new furniture, draperies, lighting and accessories for our study, living rooms, kitchen and master bathroom. Throughout the entire process, Kathy has been innovative in her design choices, very aware of our budget, and thorough in her attention to detail. “We hired Mandy at the recommendation of our close friends to help us design our Dallas house into the kind of home that we always wanted. We had come from a much smaller home in New Jersey so we needed help in choosing furniture that would both compliment what we already had and would work well in this much larger home. Mandy's attention to detail is unmatched and she will continue to look for a fabric or rug until she is satisfied that she has found the perfect choice. She is incredibly reliable and intervened whenever we had a concern with contractors until the job was done to our complete satisfaction. She painstakingly went with me to several companies to help me find the perfect tile for our bathrooms and bar area.She has a great relationship with many good contractors who respect her and listen to her requests on the client's behalf. We found her pricing to be honest and fair. We cannot recommend Mandy enough.”

インテリアデザイナーと建築士との違いは、建築基準法などの建築に関わる法令で定められた基準を守りながら建築の意匠設計を行うことができるのが建築士であるのに対し、各種法令に反しない範囲で建築の意匠設計の一部である“インテリアデザインのみ”を担当するのがインテリアデザイナーです。そのため、建築士の職能の一部を補助する役割としてインテリアデザイナーが位置づけられることもあります。大学や専門学校でデザインについて学んだ後、家具メーカーや建築会社などで実務経験を積むのが一般的で、インテリアデザイナーを名乗るのに特別な資格は特に必要ありませんが、実際の施工まで手がけられるよう、インテリア設計士資格や建築士免許を取得する人も多いです。
