“It was my first time working with an interior design firm, and I chose Hermosa Style Co (after interviewing five other designers) because of their aesthetic, availability, and the price and flexibility of their services. I needed my fireplace re-designed, my kitchen updated, the interiors painted, and help with new furniture selection for my family and dining rooms. I wanted to make the transition from a mid-century aesthetic to a more Tulum-esque global organic vibe, but I didn't have a high-end budget. Heather and Alexa did a site visit, documented my existing furniture and art pieces, and came up with a plan for construction and furniture that did not blow my budget. The idea to do open shelving in the kitchen, add a casing to the vent hood to match the aesthetic of the new fireplace design, and add a banquette breakfast nook led to big impact without crazy construction costs. When I decided I didn't want to spend money on re-doing the kitchen cabinets, they found quality, affordable knobs and pulls to replace the existing ones, and instructed the contractor to make slight tweaks to the cabinets to make them while not new--definitely more fresh and finished-looking.
