“As a veteran of Silicon Valley, I have recognized that integrated platforms provide the best value for end users. What if a construction company could integrate the various disciplines associated with remodeling/new home construction into a platform like approach? Imagine having to deal with a separate architect, a separate 3D renderer, a separate interior designer, various showrooms where all care about their own individual services and products? As we look back at our experience with the Greenberg Design Gallery team together with the Greenberg Construction team; from the original concept stage, to budgeting, design, and implementation/cost trade-offs, to securing our permit, we have recognized that indeed the team at Greenberg have implemented a very efficient platform. The team is highly technical and uses state of the art architectural design tools to take their clients through the journey in a very timely manner. In fact, we believe the value we have received in the design to permit phase will eventually save us a considerable amount as we anticipate minimal changes during the build phase. Greenberg architected our new home vision in the first month, and by empowering us with their 3D modeling package, we were able to request modifications and fine tune our entire house in the ensuing two months. In parallel, we were visiting their showroom in Palo Alto (where they have a rich selection of material), and spent quality time with their interior designers to help us reach consensus on the majority of the type of finishes for our house. So in approximately three months we went from vision to design to permit and material type selection. Of course, the entire design and office team’s great attitude and genuine care ties all the loose ends. We highly recommend you visit Greenberg Design Gallery in person to assess for yourself.”

“We hired Hellen Hsieh, the owner of Design Loft Company, to design our 725 sq ft great room addition. We are so incredibly thrilled with the completed project, it is exactly what we had envisioned. Our existing house was a 1200 sq ft 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. The kitchen and living area was very modest. With two teenagers at home, we needed to expand and wanted more room to entertain. When we started the project we were uncertain if we should knock down walls and remodel the current floor plan and add a small addition or keep the footprint of the existing house exactly the same and add on one large great room. We decided to do the later, however, to get to this point, we went through several different renderings. Hellen provided us with many great options and helped us decide what would be the most economical and feasible plan. She was flexible, patient and was great about pointing out the pros and cons of each option. Her interactions with our architect , contractor and cabinet supplier went very smoothly which helped us to meet specific deadlines. Hellen was maticulous when it came to the kitchen cabinets and made sure everything was ordered properly and our custom stain came out exactly how we wanted. As a designer, she is very creative and knowledgeable. She understood the style and feel we were after. More importantly she was very conscious and respectful of our monetary constraints which helped us complete our entire project within budget. What impressed us most was her understanding of the build process: from the contractors needs, the city requirements, realistic costs and time estimates, appliance installation prerequisites and inspection requirements. We couldn't be more pleased with Design Loft and Hellen's professionalism.”

“Diedre was a pleasure to work with on the remodel of our new home. We listened to each other's ideas, gathered information regarding colors, style and comfort and completed each room with great satisfaction. We discussed the layering process and found it to be a great learning experience for me. We both showed our artistic side and the collaboration went very smoothly. “Very generous designer who made my tiny rental feel spacious and bright! So grateful for Jenn’s excellent list of recommendations she offered me within 24 hours after seeing my home. She helped me realize that my space doesn’t have to be or feel small by changing a few simple things such as, painting the interior, raising all the curtain rods to make my ceiling feel higher, layer cowhides on the cold tiled floor, moved my paintings around that made more sense to view, helped me find beautiful decorative pillows, dining table and chairs, and the most comfy modern chair and ottoman we all fight over to sit in and most importantly she suggested many choices to choose from to change out all the old dated light fixtures. I learned that investing in great curtains, sconces to lamp shades would be worth the investment since I can take them with me if and when I ever move. My home now feels spacious, fun and festive to visit and a whole lot bigger and brighter because I used every single one of Jenn’s innovative ideas. Loved her smart suggestions and felt she respected my small budget and made it work besides making my cozy place a place all my friends and family love to visit. “Stephanie from The Right Touch Designs helped us choosing all furnitures and rags for our newly constructed house and the garden. Our house is in contemporary style, and she researched and found the perfect materials for every place in the house. The project started in late 2010 and took more than a year to complete. Some items were imported directly from Europe by her. She was always responsive and professional. I am very happy to work with her.”

“We recently finished a remodel of our mid-century kitchen and we couldn't be more thrilled with the results. Tony and Dawn are amazing and their eye for design is impeccable...what I was most impressed with was how detailed they were and that they listened to our needs. We wanted a kitchen that looked great but was also functional, and they delivered! My wife and I both work, so it was important to us to know that they were there to handle all the small details and be on site to work with contractors, handymen, etc. No doubt, remodeling a kitchen is stressful but Tony and Dawn were so accommodating and made the project much easier than it would have been otherwise. The final photo shoot was bittersweet -- everything looked amazing but we were a little sad the project was over since working with Tony and Dawn was such a pleasure. “I loved working with Kelly and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an interior designer who brings creativity, but designs something that fits YOU. My husband, daughter and I had just moved from NYC to LA, so we hired Kelly to help us design a space that reflected our energy, experiences, personality and the SoCal vibe. I always dreamed of going lighter with color in a living space, but never had the guts. Kelly listened intently to what we had to say and then suggested risky and creative ideas based on our conversation, budget and key pieces of furniture we wanted to keep. As a result, Kelly turned our apartment into our home...that looks more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. People walk in and are stunned at how unique it looks in its vibrancy and style, while still reflecting who we are. Kelly told us in our initial meeting that we would love it, we would not know which room we liked the best, and we would never want to move out. Mission accomplished. We absolutely love it! Also, Kelly is an extremely warm-hearted, kind individual, and she made the process fun and easy (which was such a blessing as we were juggling a cross country move, a 1 year old and new jobs). She responded to emails promptly and effectively, and moved through our project with the pace at which we were comfortable. If we ever move again (which I don't want to now!!!) I will hire Kelly in a heartbeat. :)”

“I hired Gamble Interior Design actually through associates that are in San Fransisco CA ,I called Jeni and she came down to Los Angeles to work on my 1927 Tudor revival, I was very interested in finding someone who would stay true to the era while modernizing my home at the same time. ,I was very impressed with her vision of the space and knowledge of the era and am extremely happy with her work! Phase 1 is complete ! Am am excited about starting phase 2 "the Kitchen" (yikes) ,at the end of the month, but I have to say I'm excited to see what inspiration she brings to the table !”

インテリアデザイナーと建築士との違いは、建築基準法などの建築に関わる法令で定められた基準を守りながら建築の意匠設計を行うことができるのが建築士であるのに対し、各種法令に反しない範囲で建築の意匠設計の一部である“インテリアデザインのみ”を担当するのがインテリアデザイナーです。そのため、建築士の職能の一部を補助する役割としてインテリアデザイナーが位置づけられることもあります。大学や専門学校でデザインについて学んだ後、家具メーカーや建築会社などで実務経験を積むのが一般的で、インテリアデザイナーを名乗るのに特別な資格は特に必要ありませんが、実際の施工まで手がけられるよう、インテリア設計士資格や建築士免許を取得する人も多いです。
