“Benham Builders was everything we expected to do a turnkey renovation of our kitchen. They referred us to a structural engineer who provided excellent drawings and engineered the new footings and beams that would be necessary to remove two walls and create one large kitchen/living space. The renovation involved re-configuring the entire space, moving a bathroom and all plumbing, gas, hvac and central vacuum lines, moving windows which entailed brick/stucco work, as well as moving the entire electrical panel and installing/refinishing hardwood floors throughout. Every subcontractor brought in by Benham Builders was extremely professional, knowledgeable and prompt; in many cases they called ahead to be sure it was a convenient time to come! Since I am a seasoned DIY-er, what I appreciated most about Benham Builders was they permitted me to do the work I felt I could handle, such as taking out the tile floor, installing the backsplash and contracting for the new cabinets, counter tops and appliances with suppliers I had selected. Jim Benham is an easy-going and incredibly knowledgeable contractor. He was always available in person or by phone to answer questions that came up or help us through a problem. We are absolutely delighted with the new space and would recommend Jim and his team in a heartbeat!”

“The Classica Huntington home design has been a great choice for us. The outstanding floor plan design and traffic flow are wonderful for family gatherings and entertaining. The first floor master bedroom suite with optional door from the large walk-in closet to the laundry room and launch makes daily living easy and enjoyable with access to the front or rear of the main living areas. With the home management area and walk in pantry right next to the kitchen, there is organized storage and work areas to support active family living. The windows around the top of the stairwell provide natural daylight to both the first and second floors. Windows throughout the home provide a nice relaxing light environment. An upstairs bonus room provides an entertainment area that also provides separation between the bedrooms. Front and rear porches have provided wonderful places for covered outdoor enjoyment and places for the grandchildren to play. Having a great neighborhood pool and being located in Robbins Park provide excellent recreation opportunities within easy walking distance. The sales and construction staff have been great to work with during the design and building process. We are very glad to be living in Robbins Park. It’s like living in paradise.”
