“Tom is a real find. We found him through word of mouth from a fine arts restoration company that we have had much success with in the past. We needed the frames of four very old chairs secured and the shoring up of a very old roll top filing cabinet. One of the chairs needed a new dowel to reattach an ornate piece of the framework. In the past we were told that the repair was impossible. Voiced our concern to Tom and he said it could be done and it was. Tom secured all the chairs beautifully using the same technique as the original craftsmen. He also corrected make do repairs of the past. He informs you of what the repair process will entail and the price beforehand. Tom collected and delivered all the pieces, that was such an added perk. We put him under a time constraint because of our schedule. He was able to finish the job even earlier than expected. We have a couple of other pieces that we will be sending his way. Not only is Tom a highly skilled craftsman, he is extremely pleasant to deal with. He is also very generous in imparting his knowledge to you from all his experiences. All the pieces of furniture look fabulous and we know that my great-grandmother would be very pleased how beautiful and secure her furniture is now and how much use it will have again.
