“I'm happy to give Scott Curtice my strongest positive recommendation. Our project went quite smoothly, staying on schedule thanks to the fact that my office is in the house and Scott's commitment to providing a foreman. This enabled us to make decisions quickly and address problems promptly. Scott and his crew showed a lot of creativity in meeting our requirement to stay in the house during the renovation, to the extent of setting up a temporary kitchen and shower in the basement. In the end, we only had to be out of the house for about a week. He was also very good about coordinating with our architect and the cabinetmaker that we selected ourselves. Having heard a few horror stories of renovation cost overruns, I think we also did well in this respect. Our final figure was about 10% more than the initial estimate due to the kind of unforeseen issues that can be expected on any such project, along with a few changes that we ordered. The level of detail Scott provides in his constantly updated spreadsheet also helped us to make some decisions that reduced our cost.”

“Jim Buhrer of Refined Renovations offers incredible vision, efficient execution, and an exquisite design sense and attention to detail that is truly beyond compare. After listening to us talk about the many possibilities for our addition, Jim provided us focus and a fabulous concept for our new master bedroom suite. He collaborated with us and an architect to ensure a solid plan, and in a few short months, Jim and his team built the addition over our garage that blends as if it has always been a part of the house. While the entire Refined Renovations team was professional and efficient, it was Jim’s creativity and wonderful design sense that enabled us to realize our dream of a casually sophisticated sanctuary that is simply elegant.”

“We loved working with Amy and Steve! We had a big project that encompassed all aspects of our home. The crew cleaned up after themselves daily. We found them to be very experienced and knowledgeable about options and costs. They were forthcoming about the effect on cost of each decision we made so that there were no surprises come billing time. “I retained Mr. Miller's services to both design and build the house of my dreams. He created the truly original design to fit perfectly on the almost three acre riverfront property taking full advantage of the breathtaking water and marshland views. Because there would only be one person living in the home I wanted the square footage to be minimal without sacrificing an aura of spaciousness. He succeeded in achieving this goal by creating high volume ceilings as well as a floor plan with totally functional space. Structurally the building is extremely sound as he engineered the steel pilings and wood framework to withstand the heaviest buffering of the prevailing winds. I can personally attest to the structural integrity having lived in the house during wind gusts in excess of sixty knots. The exterior facade is equally as pleasing as the interior design. Mr. Miller was professional and responsive throughout the entire design/building process consistently demonstrating an extensive knowledge of all technical disciplines required of an architect and builder. I trust him implicitly and he would be my first choice to use in future endeavors.”

“Wanted to add a second story to my home, and Dube Plus made that dream a reality. Heidi was patient with my choices, and able to locate the unique products I wanted. Steve & Jack handled the major design ideas of the project, and were able to implement my request for a great room for the 2nd floor, the glass blocks behind my stove, and many other things that makes my home unique to me. Then finished ontime, came in on budget, were available 24/7, even when the roof started leaking like sieve during a severe week of thunderstorms, despite having used more than sufficient tarps following removal of the roof. When my town insisted on adding a sprinkler system to an existing home, which would have created unreasonable costs; Dube came up with alternative solutions (cement siding) to appease the town, and create a safe, beautiful home. Thank you Dube Plus”

“We have known Justin Bloch and his company, Morgan Exteriors since 2006. Justin is very personable and easy to work with. Unlike other professionals, he listen's. He is very eager to help and comes up with many creative design ideas. What we loved about Justin and Morgan Exteriors was that they always kept in touch without using high-pressure tactics. Their prices are very reasonable. The people that came to work on the project were mostly family and friends, so they were very well behaved and worked hard. Justin was around for mostly the initial engagement and design phase. Knowing him, made us feel really comfortable about spending the money for our project. We did get other estimates. Some were lower and many were outrageous. We chose Morgan Exteriors largely because Justin constantly kept in touch without pressuring us. Around 2007, we hired them to replace Siding, Window's/Doors and deck. It was a $50000 project. In 2014 we hired them again, to expand the Deck ($1800). The Quality of work done for both of these projects was very high and we have been extremely happy. Over time, the seal on some of the window's broke and Morgan Exteriors replaced them, no Fuss. I wanted to hire them for other interior work but unfortunately they do not do that. I will definitely hire them for other Exterior work in the future.”
