“I hired Skiles Architects to design a small (1350 sf) eco-friendly house on an infill lot. We wanted a unique and beautiful home in a modern style that used locally sourced or sustainable materials, minimized construction waste, and was designed to use minimal energy and water resources. Albert used his knowledge of passive solar to design a bank of clerestory windows which raise the heat in our living area on a sunny winter day by 4-5 degrees yet keeps excessive heat out of the house in the summer.
