THiiNK Design transformed our Victorian House to incorporate all our specifications, radically re-organising our ground floor space to the highest standard. Ana has an amazing ability to make the most of any area, however how small. She is an understanding, kind person too, which helps enormously when undertaking a sizeable project.

Thiiink Design has helped us enormously to enjoy our garden. We can open now the door from the kitchen/dining area and walk straight to the garden. We live in a town house, since the houses were designed and built over 40 years, there was no connection between the houses and the rear gardens that over-look Richmond Park. Ana Mercedes came with a clever design of a bridge and diagonal terrace. The Planning Application was approved by the Council despite opposition from one of the neighbours. The design was so successful than other neighbours have copied the design and they have also been approved by the Council. Every day we now enjoy the garden and its beautiful views to Richmond Park!!! This is particularly joyful for us and our other neighbours during the miserableness of current LockDown.

The team at Thiiink help me with a project in Cartagena Colombia. During their investigation we found out that the plot was bigger than anticipated and manage to double up the number of square meters to the project, their very detailed plans and 3ds help tremendously the local builders to construct very complicated angles and structure. They also help with the overall design of lighting , interiors and landscaping. Their understanding of the local architecture, budget restriction and limited availability of local materials made this project a success. Thank you to Silvia and Ana Mercedes for all their good advise and all the hours invested in good detailed plans and 3ds.

Ana redesigned our family home nearly ten years ago, and still to this day we love it. Everything is designed with so much thought behind it - be it the bathtub positioned so it faces the sun, so we can have sunset baths, to the triangular skylights where we can watch the stars in bed at night. People still knock on the door to ask about the glass box ceiling in the kitchen - and we hear people admiring the house when they walk past. Ana herself is incredible experienced, knowledgable and creative. She is inspiring to work with and she put so much of herself into the project. Couldn't be happier with the results!

Think Design did our loft and rear extension. Ana Mercedes is the kind of professional who will go the extra mile for the client. She always has brilliant ideas and ways to make your wishes come true. She finds solutions where you think it's impossible and her ideas are incredibly creative and of the highest standards. Ana always supported us and helped us with the builders to make sure they were working to meet the deadline. Whenever we encountered problems, she stepped in and helped.

I am writing this after I ended the contract with THiiiNK Design, so that any home owners considering hiring an architect do not make the same mistake like us. Ana is very friendly person, but if you know exactly what you want then she is not right person for you. The process of drawing the plans took about a year and a half. In my opinion, her office was too far, so all the communication was via emails and phone calls. At times she didn't reply for 2 months and took a long time to amend the drawings the way I wanted. The worst part was dealing with the delay of the contraction work. She recommended a builder who was not reliable. One of the clients who reviewed also commented about a builder being let down. We have a 2 story flat, basement and ground floor. It was total renovation. A big project that would normaly take 5-6 months according to other contractors. The project started May/June 2018 and was supposed to complete December 2018. After 10 months of delay and we didn't know when the project was going to be completed, so we fired the builder too. If Ana acted behalf of her client, I think we could've handled the delay much quicker. Every excuses my builder had Ana agreed with him. I fought and argued my points which now I found out were right, she stood right by him. For example, only 2 builders were working at the site for 5 months and I requested more builders to work, but she told me increasing the number of builders didn't mean faster work and the work had to progress in sequence. They made seem the delay was inevitable. I brought in 3 contractors so far and they couldn't beilive the work being done and how long it took. When I said I had an architect too, they all told me she should've prevented a lot damages rather than let things happen. A hard lesson I learned dealing with Ana and the builder: 1. meet as many architects and contractors before hiring. Ask them references and go see the completed projects. Any honest architects and contractors will be happy to give you references. 2. Finalise the drawings before the project starts, once the project start delaying, your architect and contractor might blame you for changes. If the builders make mistakes, they might insist what the original drawing was. It will cost you dearly. 3. Any changes later on, put it into writing. You have right to know the costing. Have it all in writing. The builder and architect might lie that everything was verbally agreed. 4. Any meetings you have, record them or keep minutes. 5. If your builder said a steel beam company lost files and you have to wait until they sort it out to get the steel beam, consider that's a sign of bad builder. You can go buy steel beam anywhere as long as you have the structural engineer's design. 6.If your project delays, don't let it go too far. It will get more costly.

I have received the advice and consultancy service from Ana Mercedes in a proyect I was starting, she is very kind, professional. She gave the best advice and quality of service. I will start a new project with THiiiNK for 2018!

I have known THiiiNK Design for over 14 years having been involved in the building of many of their projects around London and the South West. Over time I have worked with a number of architects so, when we moved down to our new house in the New Forrest, my wife and I had no hesitation in appointing Ana Mercedes and her team to re-design our new house. In my extensive experience with domestic and commercial construction work, it is their approach to architecture, their eye for detail, their overall professionalism and their ability to get projects passed by sometimes bloody minded planning departments that sets them apart from other firms. Most of the architects that I have worked for, do not seem to bother to fully understand their client’s needs and wishes and thereby fail, in the eyes and pockets of their clients, to deliver the optimum outcome. In our project THiiiNK Design is helping us with the personalised design of the interior on things such as the full detailed plans for fitted furniture, kitchen, bathrooms/ walk-in wardrobes, cinema room/office, entertaining areas etc. They are also architectonically designing the exterior of our property, so that internally it will fully benefit from the wonderful views of the sea and the national park. We strongly recommend THiiiNK Design as an architectural design practice of the highest standard.

As a building contractor I have worked THiiiNK Design on projects for the past 17 years. Whilst the size of the projects vary enormously the attention to detail remains consistent and the client put at the forefront of the project. Thiiink provide attention to detail and information regarding the projects from initial design consultations through the planning and permissions process right through to completion. Ana Hopkirk has experience of construction and fabrication processes allowing her a hands on approach to the design and completion of projects. Thiink Design provides the complete package from construction through to final interior design, garden landscaping and design with detailed information including furniture design. The volume of information provided to clients and contractors means it makes for a less stressful project and whilst the work is challenging as THiiiNK are always trying to create new ideas individual to each client, the work is always very rewarding.

We are using THiiiNK! Design to architect and design our house renovation in Richmond. It involves a complete redesign and re-think of the house whilst staying true and enhancing it's 1930's style. We love the designs and seeing the house come together is very exciting. Very happy with the way Ana managed to capture the way we live and what is important for us whilst designing the house. We would highly recommend them and would not hesitate to work with them again. We would suggest that you vet your builders better than we did ours. This has been the only let down in the project.

We hired Thiiink design to design a complete renovation of our new London property which had previously been derelict for 3 years. Due to it being a listed building, we had to follow quite a rigorous planning process with the local council. This was achieved successfully and we have been very happy with their work and with the builders that were recommended by them. Very happy clients!
