TCP Custom Outdoor Living

TCP completed a patio edition for us. RJ was our project manager and did a great job keeping us informed and the project on schedule. He was able to move the project forward quickly and make adjustments as weather or issues developed. I am very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend working with TCP Outdoors and RJ.

We contracted with TCP to design and build an outdoor living area as well as converting and expanding an existing covered patio into an outdoor dining area and kitchen. We liked the portfolio that TCP had as it exemplified the quality and professionalism we were looking for. From the design rendering to the finished product the entire experience exceeded our expectations. With all of the moving parts involved in a project this large there will always be periodic delays. Logan set realistic expectations up front and communicated every Friday what had been done that week and the schedule for the next week or two with time frames. This was extremely helpful in keeping everyone on the same page. He and Seth were prompt when we had questions. We made a couple of changes as the project progressed and we felt any cost adjustment was fair. Katy was very helpful in picking out the various materials and colors - help we desperately needed! Logan was able to locate the exact brick used on the house making the project look like it was part of the original construction of the house. Most importantly, the space looks great and has become our favorite "room" in the house.

TCP did an outstanding job designing and constructing our screened-in patio extension. The options and suggestions offered resulted in a beautiful patio that doesn’t look like an add-on to our house. Our project manager, Brian, kept us informed of the various stages of the project and was very visible during the entire process. We highly recommend TCP.

We got our Patio done from TCP back in 2020. Logan along with his crew did an excellent job. We are happy with the final product. We did run into some issues but Logan made sure all our issues were addressed. Overall value for the money and excellent customer service!

TCP did an outstanding job with our Outdoor kitchen and covered patio which was done in conjunction with another contractor who built the pool. Having two general contractors and a project this big could have been an issue if it wasn't for the excellent supervision we received from RJ- our project leader. He went above and beyond to insure a great quality result, and to get the work done timely. Most of the crews were outstanding: Valentino and his framing crew, Gustavo the stone work crew, the cement contractor etc. were tremendous. As an example, Valentino and his crew were working on our roof, and a weather forecast change showed we were going to get hit by a large thunderstorm in the middle of the night. When they left earlier in the day, the forecast showed no rain. Since some of our house would have gotten water damage from a heavy rain, Valentino and his guys showed up at 11pm to put some extra tarps on the roof to protect the inside of the house. Amazing! With a project this size, sometimes changes are made to the original plans and TCP handled this professionally and efficiently which led to an even better outcome. If something was not done correctly, RJ immediately got it corrected. TCP isn't a "Chuck in a Truck" type builder, they do excellent quality work. They also work hard to meet projected schedules. If you use TCP, it won't be the cheapest, but it will result in a high quality beautiful structure that you will enjoy for a very long time. I want to thank TCP for having our back and a job well done!

From project planning to the final touch up paint, working with TCP has been a great experience. We interviewed several companies, and none of them came as prepared as our meeting with Justin. Justin asked for several items of information prior to our first call and from there, he came up with an amazing design video of what our backyard would look like. We also discussed options that we weren’t even thinking about. Once we decided to move forward, the project was then handed over to John, project supervisor, who took care of the coordination of the entire project. John kept us well informed about every step and always responded quickly when we had any questions. I would absolutely recommend TCP, and we will use them again in the future. We love our new space, it is close to 500 sq feet of amazing outdoor living area. Our backyard is U shaped with West/Southwest exposure, and we have already been able to enjoy it more than we had in the 5 years that we have been in the house. If you are looking at a backyard project, I would definitely call TCP.

You will not find another patio company like TCP… it almost sounds like not enough to call them a patio company. They are really a custom builder. They will absolutely knock it out of the park for you!

When we were looking for a contractor for our new patio and carport, we wanted a fully turnkey contractor to handle the design, permits, HOA approvals, and construction. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of Texas Custom Patios! Everyone within the company were professional and committed to quality. Their carpenters are true craftsmen and were a pleasure to work with throughout the project, and the job site was cleaned up at the end of every day. The initial design and recommendations along the way left us with a beautiful addition to our home that greatly exceeded our expectations in every way. It literally changed the entire feel of our home! We love it!

I would highly recommend Texas Custom Patios for any addition you might be considering. No other company in our area compares to the quality of work they provide and the design expertise and professionalism we experienced. TCP had completed a patio for my sister several years back, so we were already aware of the quality of work they provided. Now the timing was right to extend our own patio adding on a living space, fireplace and kitchen. Like other reviewers, TCP will not be the cheapest contractor but in my experience, you get what you pay for. We decided it was not worth saving money if we had to sacrifice quality, so TCP was our first call. Ryan Guikema worked with us in the initial phases of our project and was the lead designer. He was very patient as we worked through multiple design layouts and answered the many questions we had without hesitation. The 3-D visual renderings he was able to provide made a huge difference. Ryan has a wealth of knowledge and made some great suggestions for our final plans. Our project manager was "RJ" Roman Rauda who treated our project like it was his own. He made sure all work was completed to perfection and always went above and beyond to keep our project on schedule. He also had some great design suggestions that really made a difference. We also experienced regular communication along the way from RJ which was very important to us as customers. We could not have asked for a better project manager. I will also say that TCP was very respectful of our property and always maintained a clean work area at the end of the day. This is a great reflection on their consideration of the homeowner. Also, I will say the secret of TCP’s success is their trades. The Mason and Electrician I believe are the best in the business. I have never seen such amazing stonework and super clean electrical work. One brick wall had to be extended in height and you would never know there was an extension. The brick match and layout were perfect. The plumbers also went above and beyond and corrected all issues they ran into even making sure to fix a plumbing issue we didn’t realize we had. Also, the roofers did an amazing job tying in the patio to our existing structure and were able to create a solution for an odd, angled roof. Andrea, TCP's designer, was also very helpful when assisting us in picking out our project materials. We appreciated the opportunity to truly make it our own through the design selections we were offered. Our patio is now complete and has exceeded our expectations. We now have more entertaining space have received lots of compliments from our family and friends. This was definitely money well spent!

We couldn't be happier with our new outdoor living space by Texas Custom Patios! We had no less than 6 different quotes for this project, and while TCP was not the cheapest, they certainly offered WAY more for our money than any of the other companies we profiled. From the start, the Project Manager- Logan and Main Contractor-Jon handled everything! They walked us through the entire process and what we should expect as far as timing and materials. We especially liked how they structure payments throughout the project. Other companies demanded half the money up front, and then half upon completion. TCP spreads the payments over the entire project, only receiving funds after a specific part of the project is completed and has passed inspection. That is called integrity. They handled all the HOA requirements, permits, scheduled inspections, all of it! TCP had great finish options, and used quality materials. They only schedule specific crews because they have very high standards of workmanship and every one of the sub-contractors that worked on our project were highly skilled and completely professional. To sweeten the deal, they offer an incredible warranty on all of their projects. Our project, though not as large as most, was still treated with the utmost personal care. We were in constant contact with our team throughout the entire project, and no question ever went unanswered. We've had a few get-togethers since our beautiful new patio has been completed and we know that we are going to enjoy this space for many years to come. Thank you Texas Custom Patios!

Quality of construction of our outdoor kitchen and fireplace is very high. Used same stone as on our house & used first-rate construction techniques. Finished product exceeded expectations. Delivery of appliances was delayed due to COVID supply issues; add time to your schedule accordingly. Easy to work with.

We are overwhelmingly satisfied with all the great work Texas Custom Patios (TCP) did to give us the patio of our dreams. We realize the building/construction industry has a bad reputation for not responding or showing up for jobs, but we experienced none of that with TCP. Everyone from TCP, including all the contractors working on our project, were responsive, professional, and highly skilled in their jobs. We have watched the frustration our next door neighbors have had, and still are experiencing, working with a different company. We are giddy (can we say smug?) with our decision to go with TCP!! :) We were absolutely thrilled with Collin Jarrell's design work! We had several initial meetings with Collin to design our patio, in which he was responsive, patient and professional. As part of the initial consultation and quote, Collin created our project using online 3D software that we could see via Zoom calls. Other companies we talked to would not provide an online visual until after we signed the contract. Collin made changes real time and provided explanations and suggestions to give us a gorgeous patio. Collin has a great eye for designing patios! Collin was the reason we decided to choose TCP as our contractor. Our project manager, Rob Baird, is great at his job. He moved our project along smoothly, even when dealing with delays due to COVID. Rob was patient and responsive to our (ok…mostly my husband’s) many texts asking for updates and status. We were very impressed with how well Rob kept track of the many moving parts…and were happy with his willingness to make changes when we wanted upgrades, or when we had a few hiccups. Rob was always pleasant, responsive, and very easy to work with. We already miss seeing him in our back yard! We are truly delighted with everyone at TCP for making our patio building experience painless and pleasant. We really enjoyed meeting everyone who worked on our patio, and are humbled by the expertise and professionalism. We will think of TCP fondly while enjoying our wonderful new space for years to come.
