Russell provided all the Architectural design, and brought with him his wealth of information, design ideas, suppliers and detailing support to the project. Russell is easy to get hold of, easy to deal with, and his enthusiasm for authentic materials and detailing made our job as the Project Manager easy. Russells eagerness to see the project progressing, his coordination with all the other Consultants, and ability to adapt detailing to the way things are built in Asia, is refreshing and a welcomed addition to any project. We hired Russell Taylor Architects for a major renovation project on a semi-detached Victorian house in November 2015. From the outset, they were professional, efficient and always listened to what we wanted. We loved their attention to detail and creative ideas, particularly when it came to preserving as many original elements of the house without foregoing the modern elements required to bring it up to date. They found excellent builders to tender for the project, and worked brilliantly with the contractors we did hire. The project was completed more or less on time (any delays were in no part related to the work of either the architects or the builders) and we are delighted with the result. It was a pleasure to work with Russell, Silvia and Priscilla and we highly recommend the practice.

Absolutely great. I decided to approach the company to deal with some long standing issues which I had with Lewisham council in a project bordering a conservation area. Russell & Faisal have been outstanding in obtaining the planning permission after three failed attempts and withdrawals. Attention to detail and understanding of the client's needs are jut some of the points that separate that practice from others. Would definitely work with that firm in the future.

We worked with Russell Taylor Architects for around 2 years through the design, planning and build of our semi-detached villa restoration and extension. The planning process was handled professionally and successfully due to their expert knowledge of these conservation buildings. They were instrumental in finding us an excellent team of builders and the project went as efficiently and we could have hoped. They brought expertise and knowledge far beyond our scope of design and we were able to use modern technology and incorporate these features without losing the period style we had come to love. We learned so much with the team at Russell Taylor Architects, they are experts in their field. They often used hand drawn ideas which enabled us to be much more creative than the usual CAD only skilled architect. We would have no reservation in recommending them to anyone interested in good design and style.

For a major rebuild project the relationship with your architect is vital. We had a vision and budget but did not have the architectural skills needed to make it all happen. Russell was immediately responsive to our ideas and at the same time put a unique slant on the project due to his wide experience working with historic buildings. It was also an advantage that he worked in both London & Cornwall as he brought local knowledge and perspective combined with a broader view having worked on projects in many geographical locations. He was very helpful in all the negotiations with English Heritage and our local listed buildings officer. It's also all about teamwork and Silvia and Faisal gave splendid back up and were always responsive in a timely fashion. They also were able to provide advice regarding suppliers and contractors from experience with previous projects. Unfortunately, our builders went bankrupt at the final stage of the project, nothing to do with us!, so we are not completely finished but hope to be so in the next few weeks. However, the end result is amazing and I would have no hesitation in recommending Russell and his team, in fact we have already done so to other friends and they have taken him on for a similar renovation project.

I have to thank Russel Taylor Architects for the successful refurbisment work that was carried out on my Grade ll listed home. I was particularly impressed by their knowledge and skills relating to older buildings, as well as their thoroughness and dependability. Silvia and Russel were easy to talk with, explaining each stage of the renovation in a clear and precise manner and were always at the other end of the phone, if I had concerns. I am very pleased with the end result, they have turned a tired building into a beautiful home, highlighting and bringing back to life its original character. This was a major project ( over £ 1 mn ) and Russell was clear sighted throughout about the huge potential of the property . All his ideas gelled into producing a harmonious whole . Sensitive to the views of his client but provides excellent independent advice . Terrific attention to detail from initial drawings to supervision of builder . Planning Permission was expected to be a problem but his creativity and focus on the issue secured a successful result . If we could not envisage his idea he would create a model of life size drawings which were hugely helpful . Established a good professional relationship with the builder but was quick to spot even small issues which were corrected in good time . He finished two years ago but we still say how lucky we were to find him .
