I own a small condo in New Westminster, on the Quay, with a beautiful water view. My unit had old carpet and paint, and I wanted to replace these with hard flooring and fresh new paint, and really show off the gorgeous view. I was completely overwhelmed, especially with all of the flooring choices, but Shelley took all the stress away! She asked me what sort of vibe I wanted for my space and we went from there. Then we added some new furniture, lighting, and accessories. Shelley always explained the reasons behind her choices, which helped me understand design concepts that I can use in the future. She was easy to work with and never tried to push a product or idea on me that I didn't like. She was also very responsive to on-the-fly inquiries which was really helpful if you are in a store or online and just happen to see something interesting but aren't sure if it will work in your space. In the end, I was thrilled that I had stepped outside the box. I love the bold paint colours and modern furniture which I never would have had the courage or confidence to choose on my own. I was thrilled with the final result and excited to show my new place off to my friends and family!

Shelley was amazing! She came over and did a personal consultation ans listened to our ideas. And gave us some great information to help further our project along. And was also really knowledgeable on some of the more intricate construction type ideas we had. Were right in the middle of the project and when we are ready for shelley we will for sure be using her services.

Shelley was a huge help during my bathroom renovations! I went into the project with a great layout and some basic ideas, but as the project was underway, there were so many more decisions that came up which I hadn't anticipated. We have hired Shelley Coe of Red Plum Design for the renovation of the main level of our house. As our designer, Shelley has been guiding us through all of the choices that need to be made as well as coordinating with our contractor. One of the first choices that Shelley helped us make was selecting our contractor. We have been very happy with this choice. This renovation has been a dream for us for a while. She has made the dream a reality and the process very enjoyable. Our main level renovation includes a kitchen, family room, dining room, sitting room, home office, powder room, and laundry room. We wanted to ensure that our whole main level flows and has a cohesive design. She has been helping us create a “timeless modern” design with all of the choices that we have been making, including paint, flooring, lighting fixtures, kitchen cabinetry, and new furniture. At the beginning, Shelley took her time to get to know both of our individual styles and wishes. We appreciate it when she just narrows down the choices so that the decision process is easier and quicker. We rely on her ability to see the big picture and how all the individual parts of the whole design go together. We have found that Shelley has extensive knowledge of design principles and current trends, invaluable resources, and a thorough knowledge of the industry. Shelley often recommends options that we would have not have even considered. We truly appreciate that as we feel we will not have any regrets with our choices. Shelley has also communicated and worked very well with our contractor and their sub-trades. As we both have busy lives with work and children, we can rely on Shelley to take care of many design details with our contractor. We feel very at ease that she would ensure that our vision for our space would be communicated to them. As part of our contract with Shelley, she has provided 3D drawings so that we could visualize more easily what the space would look like as well as line drawings of our new kitchen, a plan for recessed lighting, and a spec sheet of all of the items that the contractor needs to install. Shelley Coe is very professional as well as thoughtful, friendly and easy going. Shelley tries to make sure that we have fun with the renovation process and stay on budget. This being my first time to use the services of an interior designer, I wasn't sure what to expect but Shelley put my husband and I at ease right away during our first meeting. We are doing whole kitchen reno and I wanted an island layout but had limited floor space. Shelley came up with a clever layout that included everything we asked for. Shelley is attentive, detailed oriented and professional. Her advice has been invaluable!
