Dewey Hennessee was the project manager for our newly bought home through Laura Powers (who was excellent) after our home flooded in Harvey. Dewey was always professional sharing his expertise and knowledge. The Powers/Hennessee team hire reliable, quality workers. Being sensitive to the history of our former lost home and possessions, Dewey was compassionate and showed this through the high quality of work in our new home which he always checked with his high standards. He was responsive to our calls which meant a great deal to us and was respectful of our schedule. We also appreciated Matt Powers suggestion on painting the den white! They put us in touch with a professional decorator, Joani Scaff who was most helpful! They made this job as worry free as possible and we are grateful.

We chose Matt Powers due to their high quality and attention to detail, also the "true custom builder" feeling is intact in contrast to others self proclaimed custom builders. Matt himself was part of the planning and selection process, but we had throughout the whole building process (+1 year) the same project manager who actually remembered what we agreed at our weekly meetings and to sometimes our surprise even got them done before time. Our wish to build a transitional (borderline contemporary) house was no problem for MPCH and we believe we got the house of our dreams exactly like we envisioned from the drawing board to moving in. The fact that we are still on speaking terms with both builder and project manager is a testament to their honesty and true attention to the customer.
