We hired Intents Construction to remodel the master bathroom, removing a bath tub and adding a roll-in-shower for a wheelchair, and remove and lay new tile in the house. Construction started Nov 1st, 2019 and finished on about mid January 2020. John and his wife Jody, owners of Intents, as well as Mark, Tina, Mickey, Freddy, Todd and the other workers were great. Always kept us up to date on construction schedule and any problems that arose. They all were very professional and a joy to work with. We will use them in the future!

We are not from the Phoenix area and needed a contractor to totally gut a vacation home that we purchased in Scottsdale. We had no one to get any recommendations from. I found John on Houzz and was impressed by his reviews, so after interviewing him and 2 other contractors, we decided on John. We couldn't be happier with the job John, Mark, and all their subcontractors did. They are all so professional, talented, friendly, organized, have good communication, and their attention to detail is second to none! They will not do anything halfway, and will not settle for just "OK". John even had to deal with some emergencies that came up that had nothing to do with his project, since we were not in town. We are so surprised with our luck in finding a great contractor, given the horror stories that we have heard with other contractors and subcontractors. I would trust John and his staff to do any job no matter the size. He is awesome!

Our project involved the repair of our walk deck over the patio as well as some minor drywall work in our master bedroom and kitchen. John and his team, as well as his subcontractors, did an excellent job. My wife was very pleased with how our home and grounds were kept clean during the 5 week project. There were no major surprises or communication issues and John's cost estimates were pretty much spot on. We feel confident there will be no further water leaks into our home. I would not hesitate to use John again.

We decided to take an unfortunate event with a sewer line issue and turn into an opportunity to remodel the house. This included all new flooring, doors, bathrooms, new lighting, removal of walls and addition of walls. Removal of a bay window area and added a 3 panel slider along with making the original atrium area livable space (enclosing and adding a skylight). We interviewed multiple General Contractors but John and Jodi really left an impression and we hired them right away. They were very professional, organized, and involved. They outlined and explained in detail their process of how they would approach the project. They incorporate a secured web based software that provides a calendar outlining scheduled events to take place along with an itemized view of the work and materials which the end user can see and compare to the overall budget. Everyone was on the same page at all times. We were never left in the dark and always knew who would be there and what was being worked on. Dates promised were delivered and the few delays we experienced (not their fault) were communicated and explained in detail. Their immediate crew along with the sub-contractors; showed up on time, were respectful and polite, extremely clean (constantly sweeping and picking up after themselves and treating the house like it was their own), but most importantly they delivered quality work! John’s crew and sub-contractors are all master journeyman in their respected fields and it shows in their work. John and his team were so easy to work with. Offering up advice when needed and never pressured or persuaded to settle for something. They care and really want to see your plans/dreams become reality. John and his crew exceeded all our expectations and saying they went above and beyond is an understatement. Highly recommended!

I've used Intents Construction for a couple projects. The last project was replacement of a window in a bedroom. They gave us a competitive quote and did the work to our satisfaction. They are very professional and we are very happy with the work they did. I will definitely call them to do projects for me again.

What can be said about INTENTS Construction, the owner, John Lauer, and his employees? In sum, they are an honest, professional company, go above and beyond to make sure we were happy with results, and produce great work in a timely fashion. Highly recommend! Every step of the way, INTENTS was engaged, clearly defined and communicated the construction steps (often educating us on what could and could not be done, based on their vast experience and our budget). The entire process of budget planning, choosing materials, demo, construction, and follow-up improvements was coordinated and scheduled in a professional way. John worked well with our interior designer – we started our home project wanting to improve/update our master bath and kitchen. With the help of the interior designer, we ended up remodeling about 90% of the house! INTENTS Construction was unfazed by the amount of work and gave us many quotes to choose from, including lower budget/higher budget options. In the end, we cannot recommend INTENTS Construction enough for your next home project. We became good friends with the owner, John, and look forward to working with him in the future. I cannot say enough positive comments about our recent experience with Intents Construction and Mark Meredith, our Project Manager. When we bought our home we knew our master bathroom was going to need remodeling to take it from ugly and non-functional to beautiful and functional without changing the footprint...and on a tight budget. Mark was a wonderful partner from the get go and he was able to provide his expert advice in order to execute my vision. He managed every detail and held his subcontractors accountable to ensure all work was completed with the highest attention to detail. Even though we ran into some very minor hiccups, as all projects do, Mark and I were able to problem solve and resolve them very quickly and cost effectively to ensure the project timeline wasn't delayed and kept to our budget. Mark was always responsive to text messages, calls and emails - it made the whole process so much easier knowing he was always available to me. If you are lucky enough to work with Mark and Intents Construction you won't regret it, everybody from the office staff to the in-house workers, to the subcontractors were professional and friendly. I'm already working on design ideas for my kitchen!

John Lauer and his team at Intents Construction were awesome. I have the bathroom I've always wanted. John helped me implement my vision with ideas and a skilled team that made this serene spa space possible. He has a first class operation that came in on time and on budget. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Thank you all!

We recently completed an office addition to our master bedroom. They did excellent work, communicated during every step of the project, left the worksite CLEAN and kept us on budget. John, Jody, Mark and all of the crew were top notch and a pleasure to work with. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that left us very happy with our new addition. We would not hesitate to use Intents again!

I found an honest, down to earth guy and company!! John is honest, doesn't try to upsell, covers everything, AND does a great job in a timely manner. They even helped me with the insurance company (very frustrating for me). I will never call anyone else to do work on my property. Worth every penny!! Totally happy.

We loved working with John and his crew. They are super easy to work with, organized, prompt, and always available to reach by phone or text. I really appreciate how John or Mark (his other project manager) would come over one/two/three times a day to make sure everything was running smoothly. We hired them to remodel two bathrooms - which included knocking down walls, window replacements, and adding an exterior door. We also had them refresh our main floor with painting the walls & tiling the floors. They completed our projects before the estimated date, came in less than the original quote for one bathroom, and stayed just within budget for the other bathroom. I now have a contractor that I can just call on when we have our next project and don't have to waste time meeting with anyone else. I have since recommended them to a friend who hired him to redo their kitchen, floors, and bathroom... and I will continue to do so if anyone asks if I know a guy :)
