French Brothers Home

If you are planning on building or buying a French brothers home, I would NOT recommend it. In fact I would recommend doing everything you can to avoid it! This company can not retain staff. The problem is with management and they take no ownership. They can not keep employees because they treat them awful. They preach all about how they have an amazing warranty and energy efficient home to get you to buy/build with them. The quality is terrible. The tile is the worst job we have seen. They did my bathroom tile in the dark no lighting. The paint is the cheapest paint possible and crappiest job. My grout is falling off and cracking all over the house. My gas fireplace has never worked right. The selections process is a joke. They call themselves a custom home builder and they give hardly any choices to choose from. They do not give you your choice, they have pre-selected options for you and then you have to upgrade and they nickel and dime you, times ten. They charge $200 if you change your mind on a color of other selection. They lie. We upgraded our carpet and it is the cheapest carpet. We upgraded everything and they overcharge what they should have for terrible quality. When we moved in my countertops did not even match. It was an awful experience building with them. To the point we just want to move out of this home because we are not happy in our home. Negative feeling throughout the whole terrible experience. Upper management does not take any responsibility. They have lost the majority of their staff within the last year. Still no owner ship or follow through. No communication/command center in a modern day home. Who builds like that? Beyond frustrated. The elevation plan/exterior package was wrong up to the last week before closing. Interior beams were wrong, and lighting is completely wrong. They promise 90-100 days and it was 40 days over. Worst experience we’ve had.

Very pleased from initial contact through completion. Everyone has been helpful and quick to respond to any problems or questions we had. I would like to single out Aubrey for being particularly professional and thorough. Travis has been great at staying on top of the few issues we had after moving in.
