Would give them a negative rating if I could. - Original delivery delayed a week so they could "fix" some paint issues. We still had to send 7 items back for repaint and they replace all the bead-board due to the poor paint quality. Parts returned to us after the second painting attempt and some had paint in the holes that were drilled for the drawer pulls and some not. Looks like some were repainted and some not. - Ordered and paid extra for addition pullout drawers. None delivered as ordered and had to wait a few weeks to get them made and delivered. - Supplied detailed drawings of the farmhouse sink with the order so the sink base cabinet would be made to fit the sink. Cabinet arrived not even close to the detailed drawing we supplied. The distributor's suggested repair was to "just patch it". - Out of 12 drawer fronts 7 were loose with stripped out screws upon delivery. Some so loose they had to be handled very carefully meaning this condition had to be seen at assembly and pack up for shipment. - A 3" diameter area at eye level was not painted on a Pantry door cabinet. This huge blemish at eye level had to be noticed by the person assembling the door to the cabinet and by the person packing it to be shipped and probably buy the person putting it on a truck to be shipped. - Now I have hinge screws stripping out on cabinet doors so with less than 60 days of installed use we are repairing brand new cabinets. The project was a total of 15 cabinets and our list of issues exceeded 25. Many we will give up on and fix ourselves. I anticipate about 3 - 5 years of life out of our $20 grand investment in Pioneer cabinets before we will decide to replace them all with someone else's. Wow. Unbelievably poor quality Professionally I have 40 years of manufacturing engineering experience and as a consultant and teacher I will use Pioneer as an example of how to NOT provide a quality product. Just don't buy them.

We had pioneer cabinets installed in 2015. Less than two years later we had many of the cabinets fronts replaced for chipping, wear and bubbling. Shortly after the new faces were installed we had the same issues. We have been working with our contractor for two years now trying to get relief to no avail. These cabinets are awful. We were willing to pay for higher end cabinets and are beyond disappointed.

after having the cabinets for 3.5 years now, i have to say not impressed in how they have held up. the finish is awful, chipping, unable to clean well, rub spots from trying to clean it, wear marks on the edges on every drawer.... we purchased over 20k of kitchen cabinetry to completely redo our kitchen a few years back. from the beginning we had many finish issues, they had to replace over 10 doors due to not matching, bubbles, and finish issues. we purchased Pioneer cabinets specifically b/c we were told by our installer that they were top of the line... at this point would have rather saved 10k and went much cheaper. never had cabinets that had this bad a finish. filed a claim about 4 weeks ago, initially told we have to send in a door to determine if we caused the damage or it is their issue.really? apparently they cant send a rep here to talk to me and review. very poor. would not recommend this company or their product. UPDATE as of 9.22.20 - after working with the company we have been able to reach a satisfactory remedy to the situation. Thank you Jeff for your help with this.

I Used Pioneer Cabinetry in New Home build. Did good job on cabinets., but not impressed with delivery help! They backed into house. Stole $800 worth of tools. Did investigating found out the help had criminal records. Confronted owner (Bob) would not make it right with me. Very disappointed in that!!! Should have filed police report at the time of incident. Life Lesson!

Our cabinets arrived on time and the quality exceeded our expectations. We are super happy with our decision to choose Pioneer Cabinetry for the cabinets in our home. Pioneer offers so many options it can be difficult to pick, but with the help of our designer we were able to pick Cabinetry that fits our style. We would recommend Pioneer Cabinetry to anyone.

These were the cabinets I used to create our kitchen. They were absolutely fantastic for the price. I couldn't believe how inexpensive they were compared to other lines. The guys at Cabinetek were great in the design as well. Thanks!

In addition to all the things mentioned in my original post below, Pioneer is now giving our dealer/installer a hard time because of this review. I am sorry they did not consider that before they handled our project the way they did. Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes and improve their services, rather than just punish their dealers. When we gave our down payment to the dealer, we were told typical turnaround was 5-6 weeks. So far, the process has taken 5 months, and we've been offered no compensation. The replacement parts are not installed yet, so we'll see.... Further updates to come... Original Post with a correction on delivery delay and update on status: It seems this company is no longer what it used to be. Pioneer claims to offer fully custom cabinets, but several delivered were incorrect - essentially we received the closest standard instead. They were over a month late (correction from original report of three months - sorry) on delivery - but kept reporting "on time" until each delivery date they gave us was missed, making it impossible to schedule anything else. Requests to send at least the base boxes so we could proceed with countertops and other parts of the project were ignored. When they finally did ship, there were pieces missing. Those took several more weeks to get. And it took three months to get the replacement parts, with no accurate target dates offered in the interim. Pioneer required full payment before they shipped - so they had all the money before we knew whether anything was right or when we would get it, leaving us no way to incent them on missing pieces or corrections. There was no penalty to them for the late delivery, multiple missed deadlines, or mistakes in manufacturing (other than replacement at no cost).. They did not provide details as to status, and clearly responded to the dealer inaccurately on our job more than once. There is a significant premium cost for customization, but despite that, they appeared to give this the lowest priority and clearly cannot be bothered even to prioritize corrections. I do not recommend this company or their product, and will not order from them again. Their prices are too high for absolutely no customer service or even consideration. I am ashamed to know this is how they represent Michigan.

We have been working with Pioneer for years, and are continually impressed by the quality and the work they provide. Being a Michigan Company means alot to us, Thank You Pioneer.

It's great that they're a Michigan company and that they use Sherman Williams paint so they can match a door or something if it needs to be replaced. However, our experience with them has been very bad. When our ordered cabinets arrived several items were made incorrectly - drawers and doors that aren't even square, wine cabinet not square, the silverware drawer insert was backward, and more dings, dents, scratches, and deformations than i should need to list. Pioneer has owned up to this - the representative who stopped by said he was embarrassed by it, but the company has done very little to make amends. They're obviously re-making pieces which aren't even square, but are holding up construction and templating for the counter top by not delivering until 'everything is complete so they only need to make one shipment. Which means we are out a kitchen for a few more weeks. If we dinged up doors and whatnot and it was our fault, this logic would make sense. Unfortunately, when this all on them I would like to think that they'd be eager to help make things right. It's disappointing that they care so little about their customers even when they know they are at fault. If you're considering Pioneer, think about what kind of customer service another company could offer before writing the check. It may not be 100% likely that you'd have the same experience, but if by chance you did, would you want to also experience a frustrating and difficult customer service approach from a 'higher-end' manufacturer?
