I've been the electrician for Classic Builders for many many years. I can say out of all of the custom builders we work for (which is an decent amount) Steve and his team are by far the most organized and operate very efficiently which helps my business operate the same. I plan on continuing to grow with Classic Builders and am very proud of the product they produce which makes our work look the some of the best out there as well. It is with a great amount of respect and appreciation that we write this letter of recommendation for Classic Builders. Mr Fisher’s team of professionals are worthy of this praise as evident in their quality craftsmanship. From our first meeting they impressed us with an attention to detail, thorough follow-up and knowledge of the process. We were not easy clients with our architectural plans that challenged the building process, for example building the swimming pool before the foundation of the house. Classic Builders met each and every challenge along the way with patience and professionalism. The closing process and post move-in attention to detail has been the most pleasant surprise. A detailed binder of warranties and operating information and phone calls to ensure we are satisfied with every detail are just a few examples. It is clear to us that they value our relationship and our home. It has been 3 months now and we have told everyone “this is the easiest home we have lived in”, most people don’t understand this unless they have previously built a home. Thank you and your team for bringing our home to life from drawings but most importantly for making the process easy!

When we met Steve Fisher with Classic Builders at a home show we were drawn to the simple yet elegant designs of the homes he had pictured. At the time we had not planned on building a house. He took our information and kept in touch. When we expressed we may be interested in building he invited us to visit one of his current projects. After touring one of his current home sites and discussing our specific wants and needs while considering our budget, right away we began to feel comfortable working with Steve and his team at Classic Builders. During the initial stages of planning and designing the architect took great care in the process of to ensure we were happy with the style and layout. During meetings to review plans we always felt they were listening and actively participating to create the house we were describing. As the home build progressed we were able to see in person what we pictured in the plans. He and his team were responsive and took time to go over any concerns we had along the way. The computer program, Builder Trend, used during the project made it easy to have all of the information reguarding the various stages of the home, pictures of the build progress, budget information, status on various inspections and communication in one place. The vendors Classic Builders works with were able to bring together the design elements to give our home a cohesive look and feel. As we are now moved in the vendors have taken great care to come back and ensure all of their particular items are in working order and meet or exceed our expectations. As a custom metal fabricator attention to detail and communication is extremely important. With Classic Builders you will get just that. We started researching and planning for the construction of our home over 4 years ago. As part of this process, we interviewed and met many well-regarded custom home builders in the Tampa Bay area, but were drawn to Classic Builders based on Steve’s qualifications, his references and his personal involvement in the design-build process. The quality of a general contractor can often be determined from the following: 1) attention to detail & quality; 2) communication; 3) responsiveness; and 4) value. On behalf of our family, I am very pleased to report that Classic Builders met or exceed my expectations in all of these areas. Once the construction process finally began, we were most impressed with the following: •Attention to Detail & Quality – Classic Builders employs a very detailed interview and questionnaire process to help you space plan, design and prioritize everything that you would want to customize for your house. In addition, Steve was instrumental in helping us design the architectural details that made our home unique, and offered many creative options to make our home feel just right for our tastes. During construction, he made sure these unique elements met his high standards and our expectations. Steve was routinely at the project and supervised its construction beyond the normal duties of a project manager. This attention to detail resulted in high quality workmanship, which is evident throughout the home – inside and out. •Communication – Classic Builders provided us with a user-friendly web portal so that we could see the project’s developments in real-time. Classic Builder’s use of technology via a dedicated password-protected website made communication with our builder very easy. All communications regarding selections, change orders, schedule, vendors and much more could be conducted through this dedicated website or its ancillary app for mobile devices. This made tracking the progress of our home extremely transparent. •Responsiveness – Steve and his team were very responsive to our questions during the construction process. I never felt awkward calling Steve, or a member of his team, directly to get answers or updates. They always returned our calls and were quick to respond to our emails. •Value – As the old adage goes - “You get what you pay for.” With Classic Builders, we got more. Classic Builders provided us with very high quality work for a cost that was reasonable (and more competitive than other custom home builders in the area). Classic Builders designed and built what we call our “forever” dream home, and we could not be happier.

Just want to say how much of a pleasure it has been to work for Classic Builders. I have worked for many builders over the years, and I have to say that Steve and his team are second to none. From their on time scheduling, to their superior craftsmanship and attention to detail, it makes our job as a sub-contractor much easier to execute our scope of work. Steve and his team were with us every step of the way from design, construction and the turn-key opening. My guidance to Steve and Kelly was to construct a house that mitigated effects of Southwest Florida weather, minimized insurance costs, kept utilities low, maximized the view the Gulf and Intracoastal, looked great and future-proofed the home for when we are less mobile; and within a pretty tight budget. What we have now is exactly as we envisioned it during the concept stage... only better. This can-do team helped us overcome challenging issues related to the job site and were also flexible in design changes as our insurance company continued to chime in with recommendations as the effects of the recently-enacted Biggert-Waters Act (Flood Insurance) were becoming better known. The home is exceptionally air-tight - a testament to its fit and finish; but allowing for use of the Gulf breeze (when weather allows). The wide range of flooring, fixtures, trim, granite, electrical and plumbing features was almost overwhelming. Roofing, tile work, carpentry, built-ins, masonry, flooring, plumbing and electrical were all first rate. My friends had warned me about building a custom-built home and filled me with horror stories about building a home... none of these came to pass... the home exceeded expectations, within costs, on time and without any stress. I have been fortunate to know Steve with Classic Builders for nearly 7 years now. As a trade partner, I've been a part of a couple of wonderful projects. Dear Steve, We are happy to respond to your letter. As we have said to you numerous times, we love our home and are very happy here. In answer to your specific questions: Should the occasion arise, we would definitely ask you to build our next home, and we would recommend you to a friend without reservation. Communication during the 8 months of construction was actually more often and easier than we had expected. In retrospect however, since this was the first home we’d built, we would have liked an initial meeting (in person or by phone) to describe a custom versus an altered “clone” home, before we decided on a plan and signed a contract. When we bought this home we were here from Virginia for a week, you were on vacation, and, at the time, the thought of a truly custom home was daunting. However, a meeting to discuss the changes that could be made and potential costs involved would have been educational, and probably would have encouraged us to be more personal and adventurous in our home design (and as a result spend more money). Our home has performed very well. It is actually a smaller version of the home my father (an architect in England) designed for us when we were going to build on a 2 acre lakeside lot we owned in Mississippi. It has one story, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, an office and the big master bedroom with a sitting area, and a large master bathroom. Plus we have great water views from 7 of 9 rooms. In hindsight, we would not change much, but the following four items would change if we built another home) Add a game room upstairs for our kids. We had one upstairs in Virginia that was always a mess with toys, but the kids only played there when they had friends over, plus all the toys were dragged downstairs regularly.

Steve, We wanted to write and let you know how much we appreciate our home that Classic Builders built. The design/build process allows us to live in a house that was designed with our interests and tastes incorporated into the project. We really enjoyed the construction feedback that was provided. Many of the specific features and material choices that you provided have proven insightful. I have no doubt that the spray foam insulation will provide energy savings for years to come. The other materials such as aluminum rails have held up very well and the reduced long-term maintenance savings is greatly appreciated. Thanks again for a great house,
