Art of Plants

Art of Plants is a Brooklyn-based company (expanding to Oakland) that specializes in crafting hand-bent wood planters. Due to our process, no two pieces are the same. Each piece of wood is selected and carefully milled before the bending process. The wood is then steam-bent to form organic shapes that accentuate the wood grains -- flaws and all. Although Art of Plants originally concentrated on planters and customized living walls, we currently produce large site-specific sculptures, lighting, and gallery art. We hope that as we evolve, our pieces will continue to push the limits of our medium. Every piece we produce is crafted by hand – meaning every sculptural planter that goes out is imbued with our love of art and bending.
