Our house was looking tired and cluttered and needed modernising and refreshing after living here for 20 years and being at home so much due to Covid.We had never considered using a stylist but were interested see what Anne could offer as we were used to how we lived ,didn’t know where to start and could not see solutions to our issues.We needed someone to project manage everything and to get us started and keep us motivated . When we met I realised Anne is very hardworking and enthusiastic .She has a great eye for colour and styling and a good team of tradespersons she can call on.She can also source furniture ,soft furnishings ,lighting and decor items etc.There is no pressure to do or buy anything you are not happy with. She can see the best use of space and advised how to make the house work for us. It is an ongoing project at the moment as there is much to tackle .Anne is generous with her time and expertise.Our house is much improved already and will be great when it is all finished. Recently I renovated my living room and Anne was brilliant at helping with every aspect, from the colour pallet, lighting, flooring and textures, but most of all for the discounted prices I could buy new furniture that was £100 cheaper than in the shops, which meant I could afford to buy better quality through her. Anne has a number of companies who give her significant discounts. It was brilliant working with Anne on this because I didn't have to trawl around furniture shops (which I hate). Instead we sat in comfort looking through all the catalogues with Anne advising me on what was comfortable and good quality. I could find the colour, size and comfort I was wanting in a matter of minutes over a cup of coffee and good company. Another brilliant aspect of having Anne by my side during this renovation project is her knowledge of all the best deals in the shops so that I could go directly to that shop and buy exactly what I wanted. That kind of know-how is priceless and it saved me lots of time and even more stress. Even though I was on a tight budget I was able to come in under projected spend due entirely to Anne's help and advice. Thanks Anne.

Anne is incredibly knowledgeable. I was in the difficult position of needing to sell a house 150 miles away. The house was cluttered and tired around the edges. Anne was a breath of fresh air for both me and the house. Our consultation produced a to do list of repairs, colour schemes, decorating jobs and what needed removing as part of a declutter. Anne sourced the labour and work team, took me round Dunelm and B&Q and within a short time the work was underway. The final dressing of the house by her and her team and hiring of her furniture and decorations made the house zing. I went from feeling uncomfortable about putting the house on the market to feeling confident and proud of it. The estate agent was very complementary photos looked fabulous. There was lots of interest and viewings of the house and offer was accepted on the property by me soon after it was advertised in what was a cooling market. Huge thanks to Anne!

Hiring Anne was the best decision we made. Anne decorated our 4 bed house and delivered a beautiful property with both form and function. Anne delivered a modern, clean and very cosy style exactly as we had asked for. Anne also thought about every little detail, for example where we can put out walking boots when we come into the house! When we moved in we didn’t need to do anything except for enjoy the house! I was first introduced to Anne earlier this summer, through Paul Rolfe, Paul Rolfe Estate Agents, Linlithgow. My partner and I had built a 5000 square foot, New Build house which required furnishing to present the building at its very best for the sale. Anne, acting in two capacities - as both designer and project manager, provided what was effectively a turn-key solution for a maisonette home renovation project in Maryport. The work included gutting the building, knocking it through for more light and completely updating the floor plan layouts and putting in new kitchen equipment, boilers, and bathroom furniture. Anne was very attentive at each step of the way and coordinated well with the local builders, painters, decorators and suppliers of furniture, carpets, bathrooms, kitchens etc. I have no hesitation recommending her.

Anne did a fantastic job staging my flat for sale. A week after going online I had 20 notes of interest. When I went to closing there were 10 offers all over the home report valuation. The staging helped massively for both the photos in the schedule as well as when showing. For example the well proportioned and styled furniture really showed the flat off to its best.

I was asked by home to photograph some retirement show homes at a large hall in Cumbria. Despite the fact that there was still some ongoing building work Anne had managed to staged the properties to really show them at their best. Her choice of furnishing was tasteful and matched the venue perfectly. Her attention to details made the photoshoot easy to complete and to get some great images. Our house needed a make-over before we put it on the market and we were out of touch with what potential buyers would be looking for. Anne was recommended to us and, after an initial consultation she recommended just about everything, colour schemes, some minor changes to furnishings and major accessorisation. I had a problem room as in it was slightly long and narrow so wanted to make it feel as large as possiable plus I had to keep a door which I wanted hidden(secret door) due to building regulations to next door. I met Anne at a Show and shared my problem and she arrange to call and chat about the room as it had Damp and needed totally re decorated anyway.I wanted something totally different as I keep going for pink shade! Anne created a new colour scheme of duck egg , purple and cream with a solutions to the door too . By creating a door with a large mirror as a hidden secret door and came up with mock paneling on that wall too to create a wider feel to the room,rearranged the furniture so it felt much large with no damp or pink in sight.... even though i had a few ideas we did work very well together to do what I wanted .. I really love the styling of the room at the end very which I would not have got this way myself and as the old thing would have gone back up!

I worked on a film project with Anne Sowerby from Sassy Property Styling which involved rejuvenating a lounge in my home. Anne was very focussed and really listened to understand my taste and wants. Communication was good and she was very easy to work with. Her contacts for sourcing the right pieces of furniture, lamps, ornaments and soft furnishings were very impressive. I was so delighted with the outcome and really enjoyed the experience even though I was a bit nervous to begin with.
