I have worked with Michelle at Greenstone Design now since 2010. I have always found Michelle to be knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Her drawings are extremely well laid out, thorough, and detailed – making it very easy for other professionals to work with her and for clients to understand. We worked with Michelle on our return from New Zealand. She provided plans for two houses we were interested in and eventually detailed drawings and plans for the house we eventually bought. Throughout the whole process Michelle was accessible, professional, friendly and helpful. She was easy to work with and listened to our ideas, incorporating these into her plans along with her wonderful suggestions. Our renovated house is largely the result of her excellent guidance. She has a modern sensibility with an ecological leaning as can be seen in her designs. I would recommend working with Michelle if you can. We hope she will have time to work with us again.

We approached Greenstone Design in respect of a comprehensive renovation and remodelling of a traditional stone farm house. From the off Michelle took the time to gain a solid understanding of our wants and needs but also added some great ideas of her own. Her expertise and experience has provided us with the strong, contemporary yet practical design we wanted. In addition to providing detailed plans and specifications she smoothly dealt with the planning and building regulation applications, liaising with the relevant authority ensuring any 'niggles' were quickly addressed. Throughout the process Michelle has been patient, receptive and responsive and we have no hesitation in recommending her.

We employed Michelle, having been recommended to us by a trusted colleague, to produce drawings for a complete renovation of a two bedroom flat in North Leeds. Michelle was superbly eficient and her coolness, under a very difficult situation created by the management company and their 'advisor', was invaluable. She worked well with the principle contractor and all the trades and because of her professionalism, we are now living in a flat that exceded all our expectations.

We had for a number of years mulled over converting our old 18th century barn into our dream home by extending the attached tiny cottage through into the attached barn. The building is grade 2 listed so we were aware we needed a sympathetic approach to keep as many original features as possible. We had the builders lined up and knew roughly the layout we wanted but we needed a skilled architect to determine foundation levels, head heights due to beams etc and to put our plans on paper. Michelle was recommended to us by a retired building inspector. Michelle understood our brief from the start and the plans came together really quickly. Added to that we got planning approval on first submission so we couldn’t have been happier. Michelle works really well with local planning officers and conservation, she really understands what is needed to make the dream a reality whilst maintaining the heritage of a beautiful old building. I would recommend Michelle without a doubt. Even our builders commented on how thorough she was and they worked brilliantly as a team to get the project completed from planning to finished article in 12 months.
