After her initial visit and listening to our needs, she brought samples and suggestions that were right in line with what we were hoping for but didn't know how to pull together ourselves. We feel extremely fortunate to have found Sharon! We recently moved to a new home and our furniture didn’t work well in the new spaces. When she first came to our house, I decided to start with just asking her about window treatments for my master bedroom and furniture for our living room. Sharon took the time to understand our style and our objectives. She immediately had great ideas on what would work best in the space given our traditional taste, but desire for some elegance. She was never pushy and I felt I could object to any ideas she had and that she was glad I gave my opinion. After Sharon’s home visit, she created a printed out floor plan that showed how all the pieces we chose would look in the living room— this was very helpful to me since I’m not great at visualizing how it would all come together. We were so happy with how the living room came together that we asked Sharon for help with 4 other rooms- our kitchen, dining, library, and media room! We have also asked Sharon to help us with converting our third floor to a fun family game and movie space. Sharon has had great ideas on maximizing the space as well as making it beautiful and functional. We have spent over 14 months working on all these projects and have been very impressed with Sharon’s broad design expertise, ability to understand our style, and ability to find us great furnishings that have made our house a place we are proud of and enjoy.

Sharon Gatt with Ethan Allen Cary NC has been amazing to work with! I've really enjoyed working with her as she has gotten to know me, my family and my style. She transformed my new house into a home. She took the time to help me decide how my family would live in the space and designed the perfect furniture floor plan, help me select beautiful and livable fabrics for the furniture pieces and drapery, transformed the space with lighting, paint colors, art work and decor pieces! I would recommend her to all clients, but especially ones like me, unsure of my decorating style and needed guidance to obtain that WOW look for my home!

I recently worked with Sharon designing my living space in an apartment and she did an amazing job. I gave her a challenge with the space being large but narrow and she made it feel cozy and warm. She took the time to see all my inspiration photos and to listen to my explanations of what I wanted and brought it to life. The pieces we picked are beautiful and will be amazing in my space. What an amazing experience we had with Sharon Gatt while designing my new home. Sharon took the time to know us, our style and helped us transform our new home with high-quality elegant furniture. She guided us through the process of choosing the furniture, and fabrics that were ideal for our home. Where to begin....? My husband and I first met Sharon about 14 years ago when she had her own design studio in Hershey, PA. We had just begun to build a house; the framing hadn't even begun and we knew we needed professional help (in more ways than one). We talked to a couple of designers (yes, there's a difference between a designer and a decorator), and we knew without a doubt that Sharon was the only one to consider. Professional, experienced, creative, style, class, sophistication; she has it all. She'll listen to you and gather all the information she needs to deliver what YOU want your home to look like. My husband and I recognize that we are completely clueless and utterly without any decorating abilities. Sharon is exactly what we needed. She is not wishy washy, and if needed will diplomatically guide you away from a bad choice or decision with an explanation as to why. (Ahhhh, we see the light!) Fast forward 14 years and we have built another house. This time we did it on our own using what we had learned from Sharon. However, when it came to new furniture and window treatments....I repeat, NO ability. Knowing Sharon had moved away, we tried working with a designer from a local "higher-end" furniture store. Long story short, we call it the great furniture debacle. We were able to send it all back even though some of it was fabric-customized. Let's call the style "Early Ugly". Now what?? Sharon to the rescue! I called Sharon and asked if she knew of anyone good in our area. I had looked on line at some designers' work, and I found it all very sad, if not frightening! She told me she had done some long-distance work with her other previous Hershey clients. Today's technology makes it all possible. My husband (affectionately known as Mr. Particular) flew Sharon up to PA and put her up in a nearby hotel for 2 nights with a car rental. (No worries, you don't need to do this if you don't live near her.) We spent two intense days (complete with an hour by hour itinerary of what we were doing when) choosing everything from furniture, to fabrics to paint colors. With all her gathered intel, she was then able to make recommendations on the fine details of lighting, art, florals, etc. Our home is BEAUTIFUL, exactly what we wanted and it is magazine-worthy.
