A remodel of the existing basement layout allowed for a separate media room and gave us the opportunity to create this neat little wine room under the stairs. Working with a local metal fabricator, we created custom wine holders to match the modern aesthetic of the home, turning an under-utilized space into a focal point of the home.

This gorgeous custom home bar and wine cellar combination resides in sunny Costa Mesa, Orange County, California. The beauty and uniqueness of this project reminds us of a restaurant - sleek and clean, and dressed to the nines with one of a kind display features. The wine cellar holds over 500 bottles horizontally in triple deep black metal wine racking from floor to ceiling. Coupled with the clean lines of a dark stainless steel and glass enclosure makes a truly stunning addition to this home and entertainment area. Small glass wine cellar design can be tricky. This photo depicts the aluminum framing of the modern door installed by Wine Cellar Specialists for a contemporary wine cellar under the stairs. It complemented the stair rails and the metal wine racks. The Ultra PEG wine racks used are double deep to maximize the storage capacity of the room. This grand room in Houston is a prime example of a space that has been remodeled and repurposed into a wine room with Gatsby-style opulence. As a formal living room it was not often used prior to being remodeled. The homeowner wanted us to turn it into a wine room, so we made some structural changes to eliminate a window in order accommodate the custom storage and updated the finishes. Dana Point, Orange County, California is home to many gorgeous custom wine cellars. This contemporary glass front wine wall is a beautiful example of just that. Located just off of the living room in this modern home, this custom wine wall exudes simplicity and elegance. Vintage Cellars worked directly with this homeowner to design, build, and install a small wine wall with a glass front, metal wine racks, and stone backing - all the usual suspects for a trendy and artistic showpiece cellar. Holding up to 180 bottles, this glass wine wall utilizes triple deep metal wine pegs drilled directly into the stone wall behind. The pegs hold each wine bottle horizontally so that bottles and their labels are on full display. Through the middle of the cellar, three stone platforms hold oversized bottles upright, though this is truly only a display feature. Serious wine connoisseurs always store their most prized wines horizontally, ensuring that corks remain wet and the bottles are able to be aged gracefully. The Design Build team at Vintage Cellars decided that the best utilization of the space for cooling would be to recess the cooling unit directly into the ceiling. Especially in custom wine walls / custom wine cellars / custom wine rooms / custom wine closets / glass wine wall / glass wine cellar / glass wine room / modern wine room / modern wine cellar / modern wine walls like this where space is limited, it is often best to hide it out of sight. The glass here is single pane, which makes for a very clean and modern / contemporary look. Even though it undoubtedly looks more elegant most of the time, we often recommend dual paned thermally insulated glass for maximum cooling capability and insulation capability. The decor of this home matches its architecture perfectly. modern / contemporary / coastal chic. The combination of wood, stone, glass and the seamless transition inside to outside makes this coastal living home truly unique and quite the showpiece in of itself. Luxurious under stairs wine storage room in modern private home. A mixture of standard pine racking, cellar cubes and display spaces, this eye catching wine room fits effortlessly under the stairs. This compact wine cellar has the capacity to store just under 350 bottles.

This wine room is decorated with fully stocked wine racks, cozy fireplace, comfy seating, and a central table so that the homeowners can not only enjoy their wine collection but also invite friends around for tasting sessions.
