They say the magic thing about home is that it feels good to leave and even better to come back and that is exactly what this family wanted to create when they purchased their Bondi home and prepared to renovate. Like Marilyn Monroe, this 1920’s Californian-style bungalow was born with the bone structure to be a great beauty. From the outset, it was important the design reflect their personal journey as individuals along with celebrating their journey as a family. Using a limited colour palette of white walls and black floors, a minimalist canvas was created to tell their story. Sentimental accents captured from holiday photographs, cherished books, artwork and various pieces collected over the years from their travels added the layers and dimension to the home. Architrave sides in the hallway and cutout reveals were painted in high-gloss black adding contrast and depth to the space. Bathroom renovations followed the black a white theme incorporating black marble with white vein accents and exotic greenery was used throughout the home – both inside and out, adding a lushness reminiscent of time spent in the tropics. Entrée à l'esprit exotique et zen avec réutilisation des meubles et accessoires du client. Le sol est en béton ciré et les murs sont recouverts d'une peinture couleur crème dépolluante. Une statuette de Bouddha pour le coté zen habille cette console. Le tapis en jute apporte de la chaleur toujours avec cet esprit naturel et simple.

Studio : 30 m² au de-là des murs De par sa surface restreinte, ce studio nécessitait un travail pointu d’optimisation de l’espace ainsi qu’une délimitation spatiale suggérée. C’est pourquoi nous avons eu recours à différents procédés tels que les boîtes colorées, les différences de sols, les verrières... Son esthétique nous invite au voyage et à la contemplation du bleu profond ouvrant ainsi les frontières au de-là des murs.

Création d'une entrée dans un ancien espace ouvert sur l'extérieur dans un esprit hacienda végétale. Le projet comprend le cloisonnement extérieur, la création du sol en escalier, le placage et l'isolation des murs et plafond ainsi que toute la décoration, choix du mobilier et aménagement.
