DOWNLOAD NOW This unit, located in a 4-flat owned by TKS Owners Jeff and Susan Klimala, was remodeled as their personal pied-à-terre, and doubles as an Airbnb property when they are not using it. Jeff and Susan were drawn to the location of the building, a vibrant Chicago neighborhood, 4 blocks from Wrigley Field, as well as to the vintage charm of the 1890’s building. The entire 2 bed, 2 bath unit was renovated and furnished, including the kitchen, with a specific Parisian vibe in mind. Although the location and vintage charm were all there, the building was not in ideal shape -- the mechanicals -- from HVAC, to electrical, plumbing, to needed structural updates, peeling plaster, out of level floors, the list was long. Susan and Jeff drew on their expertise to update the issues behind the walls while also preserving much of the original charm that attracted them to the building in the first place -- heart pine floors, vintage mouldings, pocket doors and transoms. Because this unit was going to be primarily used as an Airbnb, the Klimalas wanted to make it beautiful, maintain the character of the building, while also specifying materials that would last and wouldn’t break the budget. Susan enjoyed the hunt of specifying these items and still coming up with a cohesive creative space that feels a bit French in flavor. Parisian style décor is all about casual elegance and an eclectic mix of old and new. Susan had fun sourcing some more personal pieces of artwork for the space, creating a dramatic black, white and moody green color scheme for the kitchen and highlighting the living room with pieces to showcase the vintage fireplace and pocket doors. Our client wanted a functional and striking kitchen and utility area spread across a long single wall with differing heights due to the mezzanine. A requirement was to have plenty of storage for a growing family, a large island with no seating, a large double larder, and to have a utility section with coat storage. The client wanted a traditional look to the cabinets which we achieved with cockbeaded frames and quadrant moulding for the door panels. The space is very light and bright due to the large crittall windows so the dark blue cabinets (Basalt by Little Greene) look great. Also, the exposed brick wall adds warmth.

A stunning smooth painted Shaker style kitchen in the complementary colours of Farrow & Ball's Elephants Breath and Pink Ground was designed and made to suit this new build home in the village of Winscombe, Somerset. The house was designed to encourage open plan living and the kitchen with its large central island reflects this. The island was created for the family, allowing them to meet together for a casual supper or to prepare and serve a meal for a larger gathering. The customers were keen to maximise the island surface but didn't want to loose floor space. A sturdy gallows bracket was made and painted in the same Pink Ground colour to coordinated with and to support the weight of the extra deep overhang.

We recently completed an extensive kitchen remodel and expansion project in Northbrook that involved demolishing the entire 15′ wall that separated the living room and kitchen, as well as a former tea closet. Our client’s vision was to create a more open and modern space that would seamlessly connect the living and dining rooms. To achieve this, we transformed the tea closet into a stunning wet bar, and installed a new, custom-designed island that perfectly complements the space. In addition, we replaced the existing tile flooring, cabinetry, and appliances with brand new ones, resulting in a fresh and contemporary feel throughout the entire kitchen.

Not sure where to store a recycling caddy? Look no further! This bespoke shelf inside a sink cupboard is a perfect solution, and since we make fully bespoke kitchens, we can customize it to any size. This beautiful island is painted in Hicks Blue by Little Greene Paint Company.

In-frame, beaded, shaker Belgravia kitchen painted porcelain and slate blue. L-shape island with Vienna Quartz worktop and a curved peninsula. Featuring pendant lighting above the island. The use of moulded skirting plinth adds to the classical styling. The work surfaces are a 30mm white polished quartz. The door handles are a combination of chrome knobs and cup handles. The L-shaped kitchen island features curved peninsular, topped in a 40mm solid oak. Oak trays are integrated within the peninsula.
