Main Line Kitchen Design is a unique business model! We are a group of skilled Kitchen Designers each with many years of experience planning kitchens around the Delaware Valley. And we are cabinet dealers for 8 nationally distributed cabinet lines much like traditional showrooms. Appointment Information Unlike full showrooms open to the general public, Main Line Kitchen Design works only by appointment. Appointments can be scheduled days, nights, and weekends either in your home or in our office and selection center. During office appointments we display clients kitchens on a flat screen TV and help them look through 100’s of sample doorstyles, almost a thousand sample finish blocks and sample kitchen cabinets. During home visits we can bring samples, take measurements, and make design changes on laptops showing you what your kitchen can look like in the very room being renovated. This is more convenient for our customers and it eliminates the expense of staffing and maintaining a larger space that is open to walk in traffic. We pass the significant savings on to our customers and so we sell cabinetry for less than other dealers, even home centers like Lowes and The Home Depot. We believe that since a web site like Houzz.com has over half a million kitchen photos, any advantage to going to a full kitchen showroom with full kitchen displays has been lost. Almost no customer today will ever get to see a display kitchen in their door style and finish because there are just too many possibilities. And the design of each kitchen is unique anyway. Our design process allows us to spend more time working on our customer’s designs. This is what we enjoy most about our business and it is what makes the difference between an average and a great kitchen design. Among the kitchen cabinet lines we design with and sell are Jim Bishop, 6 Square, Fabuwood, Brighton, and Wellsford Fine Custom Cabinetry.

The Jack + Mare designed and built this custom kitchen and dining remodel for a family in Portland's Sellwood Westmoreland Neighborhood. The wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed to create an inviting and flowing space with custom details in all directions. The custom maple dining table was locally milled and crafted from a tree that had previously fallen in Portland's Laurelhurst neighborhood; and the built-in L-shaped maple banquette provides unique comfortable seating with drawer storage beneath. The integrated kitchen and dining room has become the social hub of the house – the table can comfortably sit up to 10 people! Being that the kitchen is visible from the dining room, the refrigerator and dishwasher are hidden behind cabinet door fronts that seamlessly tie-in with the surrounding cabinetry creating a warm and inviting space. The end result is a highly functional kitchen for the chef and a comfortable and practical space for family and friends. Details: custom cabinets (designed by The J+M) with shaker door fronts, a baker's pantry, built-in banquette with integrated storage, custom local silver maple table, solid oak flooring to match original 1925 flooring, white ceramic tile backsplash, new lighting plan featuring a Cedar + Moss pendant, all L.E.D. can lights, Carrara marble countertops, new larger windows to bring in more natural light and new trim. This design palette features Billiard green cabinetry with Luna Plena quartz countertops in neutral tones that feature luxe marble movement. Paired with a creamy white zellige tile and farmhouse sink for a romantic and cozy farmhouse palette, the antique brass hardware adds a glamorous final touch to create a gorgeous space the whole family can enjoy.

Cozy but elegant transitional kitchen featuring warm gray cabinetry, antique brass hardware, custom floating shelves and timeless subway tile. The custom steel-cut railing and funky light fixture make this kitchen extra unique. We added an extra touch of sophistication with gorgeous Namib Sky countertops that never go out of style.

The kitchen island features a bank of drawers, including this deep drawer with peg board for crockery storage. Gaby knew from her previous Davonport kitchen the value of having enough storage, so it was at the core of this project.

Contemporary shaker style cabinets contrast beautifully with the black absolute honed granite countertops. The light hardwood floors brings warmth to the space. Stainless steel and polished chrome finishes bring sparkle!

The kitchen was opened up to the family room resulting in an exotic yet modern combination of design elements. A gourmet delight with extensive storage and zones for everyone including the family pets. The modern fireplace with custom glass surround and TV above is fully visible when large groups gather or simply everyday family time. Room for a growing art collection was also a consideration.
