This renovation involved expanding the kitchen space into an adjacent office area, creating a side entry, new kitchen layout that worked well for two cooks, professional grade appliances, oversized island with seating on two sides, eat-in area, sitting area and furniture look cabinets with both stained and painted finishes. We enlarged an existing window by creating a boxed bay at the relocated sink and designed a continuous quartzite counter which serves as planting ledge for herbs and flowers. Some of the appliances were integrated into the cabinetry with panels, while others were designed as impact pieces. Custom designed cabinets include a large mantel style chimney hood with vent insert, furniture grade hutch with leaded glass doors, contrasting stained island with seating on two sides, bar with wine refrigerator and deep drawers, and a galley style butler's pantry which provides secondary prep space and ample storage. Details such as shaped cabinet feet, upper glass front cabinets, pull-out trash drawer, spice columns and hidden drawers and storage make this newly designed kitchen space feel luxurious and function perfectly. Traditional materials and forms meld seamlessly with industrial accents and modern amenities. Mixed metals are used in a balanced and dynamic way with warm gold tone cabinet hardware, stainless steel and chrome all working in harmony. This two-tone kitchen was created using Medallion Silverline/Gold Lancaster/Potter’s Mill flat panel cabinetry in Irish Crème Classic Paint. The nook door is Brookhill flat panel Lakeshore Classic Paint. The countertops are Eternia Brampton quartz with a double round over edge. The backsplash is 4x5 Zellige Hexa White tile. A Blanco Diamond Double bowl undermount sink in Metallic Gray, Moen Arbor pull down faucet in SRS finish. Over the sink is Stormy Skies pendant light. The flooring for the kitchen and entry way is 18x18 Adura Flex glue down Luxury Vinyl Flooring.

This project was all about updating and refreshing the home. While the layout and overall style of the spaces worked for the most part for the client they wanted to clean it up a bit and add more durable surfaces and some more function. In the kitchen we maximized storage with taller wall cabinets, moved the oven to the island and added in a lot of customized storage to make everyday life just a little easier. In the bathroom we went for a more classic style and updated the vanity area with new cabinetry, countertops and lighting and added a sink to the makeup vanity along with open storage for easy access to often used items.

This recently completed kitchen in an historic Canton, MI home is a perfect example of compact luxury! Contrasting cerused walnut and white-painted custom Bakes & Kropp fine cabinetry is further complimented by unique polished nickel mesh inserts. A farmhouse sink, subtle backsplash and light-colored countertops blend seamlessly with the statement-making cabinetry. This luxurious revival gives new life to this charming historic home!

Full first floor makeover with new kitchen in Kennett Square PA designed by Eric Adams. If it was on the first floor we remodeled it. New Johnson hardwood floors in English Pub Apple Jack finish were installed throughout the newly expanded foyer, dining room, family room, and upstairs hall. We installed NuStair treads stained to match the hardwoods as well as new railings making the foyer and stair case look amazing. The kitchen flooring is 12x12 porcelain tiles set on a diagonal and flows into the garage entry hall, powder room, and laundry. The existing kitchen was a good size but just needed to be redesigned for a more current look and layout. The clients chose Fabuwood cabinetry in the Galaxy Frost door style for the perimeter and Fieldstone cabinetry in the Farmington door with Blueberry finish for the island. The two cabinetry colors come together in the Blue Flower granite countertops and the new tile backsplash with blue tile feature under the range hood. This remodel breathed new life into this home.
