The backsplash for the range was created with thousands of multi-colored unique glass tiles in various blended shades to create this beautiful feature wall. Numbered for placement, these tiles -- with hand applied 24-karat gold leaf between two layers of glass -- give a dark-to-light effect. The back-splash goes up the wall and highlights the sleek, European-style, stainless steel range hood with four halogen lamps that extends down from the ceiling, while also complementing the cabinetry on both sides.

De keuken, de kasten zijn van IKEA, de servieskast, de ombouw voor de afzuigkap, toegang tot bijkeuken/voorraadkast werden op maat gemaakt. Ook de verlichting is op maat gemaakt en weerspiegelt de vorm van het werkblad (blauwe steen) eronder. Kitchen cabinets by IKEA, crockery cupboard, surround for extractor fan and entrance to scullery custom made. the ceiling light is custom made to mirror the shape of the worktop, Belgian blue stone, below.

In this kitchen we wanted to get A LOT of appliances into spaces, along with seating for 7, two sinks, etc. And make it look open with few upper cabinets so as not to block the views. Done! We used a television lift mechanism to lift the heavy small appliances out of the cabinet rather than make the homeowner bend and lift it out. When not in use, it lowers into the cabinet and is out of sight.

This darling updated kitchen replaced it's old Corian counters with beautiful quartz, 36" over sized sink, 3x12 dimensional subway tile and added a splash of color by painting the old oak cabinets barn red.
