Three fire-pots line the amazing vanishing edge pool which dangles above the Grotto below with water spilling over both sides. Glass lined side rails grace the accompanying bridges as the pathway connects to the front of the terrace… A sun-worshiper’s paradise! In the newly added Kitchen/Bar area, our use of metallic glazed natural stone pavers adds texture, depth and drama to the vertical surface while layering granite slabs, creates a rich looking countertop and foot rest to the bar. Modern barstools made of 100% recycled aluminum and a durable zinc plate patina finish, provides the perfect outdoor solution for this oceanfront Terrace.

This kitchen had a boring builder grade kitchen. There was not too much we could do to change the layout, but we did want to open up the space so we opened up the wall between the dining room and kitchen. Then we extended the wall between the patio door and window to give it more space since we lost the other wall. The end result is open, bright and very updated AND the kitty loves it too!

The new appliance wall accommodates a fully integrated Sub-Zero refrigerator which is completely camouflaged by its cabinet doors, plus a convection oven and a convection steam oven that provides a healthy cooking method. A cabin in Western Wisconsin is transformed from within to become a serene and modern retreat. In a past life, this cabin was a fishing cottage which was part of a resort built in the 1920’s on a small lake not far from the Twin Cities. The cabin has had multiple additions over the years so improving flow to the outdoor space, creating a family friendly kitchen, and relocating a bigger master bedroom on the lake side were priorities. The solution was to bring the kitchen from the back of the cabin up to the front, reduce the size of an overly large bedroom in the back in order to create a more generous front entry way/mudroom adjacent to the kitchen, and add a fireplace in the center of the main floor. We were delighted to work with the homeowners of this breathtakingly beautiful luxury home in Ascot, Berkshire to create their dream kitchen. Comprising a large open plan kitchen / dining space, utility room, boot room and laundry room, the project was almost completely a blank canvas except for the kitchen the house came with which was cramped and ill-fitting for the large space. With three young children, the home needed to serve the needs of the family first but also needed to be suitable for entertaining on a reasonably large level. The kitchen features a host of cooking appliances designed with entertaining in mind including the legendary Wolf Duel fuel Range with Charbroiler with a Westin extractor. Opposite the Wolf range and integrated into the island are a Miele microwave and Miele sous chef warming drawer. The large kitchen island acts the main prep area and includes a Villeroy & Boch Double Butler Sink with insinkerator waste disposal, Perrin & Rowe Callisto Mixer Tap with rinse and a Quooker Pro Vaq 3 Classic tap finished in polished nickel. The eurocargo recycling pullout bins are located in the island with a Miele dishwasher handily located either side to ensure maximum efficiency. Choosing the iconic Sub-Zero fridge freezer for this kitchen was a super choice for this large kitchen / dining area and provides ample storage. The dining area has a Weathered Oak Refectory Table by Humphrey Munson. The table seats 10 so works really well for entertaining friends and family in the open plan kitchen / dining area. A mix of white painted and stained walnut cabinetry, with brass accents in the hardware and lighting - make this kitchen the showstopper in the house. Cezanne quartzite brings in color and movement to the countertops, and the brass mosaic backsplash adds texture and great visual interest to the walls.

The designer reorganized the kitchen’s perimeter by closing off a door to the dining room, which now functions as Andrea’s office. She also removed the wall and cabinets separating the kitchen from the living room, significantly changing the feel of the space. A large, black-base island features a seamless white quartz top and waterfall edges, a visual contrast to the black counters and white cabinets along the perimeter. Gold hardware and fixtures pop against the background, with a few copper accents mixed in. Andrea knew she’d go this direction when she walked through Wilson Lighting and saw the pendants that reminded her of Christmas. This kitchen is a perfect example of blending contemporary and traditional design elements. We installed grey cabinets and triple stacked crown molding with a stainless steel backsplash to really showcase this transitional kitchen.
