A family of four shares this one full bath on the top floor of an historic Mt. Baker home, and before the renovation, a big clawfoot tub that no one in the family enjoyed showering in took up most of an already tight space. Add in the fact that the homeowners' taste leans modern while their home is solidly tradtitional and our challenge was clear: design a bathroom that allowed a crowd to get ready in the morning and balanced our clients' personal style with what made sense in the context of this older home. The finished bathroom includes a trough sink so two people can be brushing teeth at the same time, a floating vanity with tons of storage, and a shower carved out of space borrowed from an adjacent hallway closet.

The homeowners wanted a lot in this medium-sized bathroom. They requested a stacking washer and dryer, a place for the ironing board, as much storage as possible along with the mandatory toilet, shower and double vanity. A custom unit spans the whole wall, incorporating the washer and dryer unit in with the vanity. The washer and dryer can be hidden when not in use. The pocket doors can be opened and slid back within the unit when in use, so that the doors are out of the way and also allowing for the needed ventilation when the washer and dryer are in use. Pull-out storage beside the washer and dryer holds laundry supplies as well as an ironing board and iron. Quartz countertops and marble floors add to the luxurious look of this space.

DOWNLOAD NOW This unit, located in a 4-flat owned by TKS Owners Jeff and Susan Klimala, was remodeled as their personal pied-à-terre, and doubles as an Airbnb property when they are not using it. Jeff and Susan were drawn to the location of the building, a vibrant Chicago neighborhood, 4 blocks from Wrigley Field, as well as to the vintage charm of the 1890’s building. The entire 2 bed, 2 bath unit was renovated and furnished, including the kitchen, with a specific Parisian vibe in mind. Although the location and vintage charm were all there, the building was not in ideal shape -- the mechanicals -- from HVAC, to electrical, plumbing, to needed structural updates, peeling plaster, out of level floors, the list was long. Susan and Jeff drew on their expertise to update the issues behind the walls while also preserving much of the original charm that attracted them to the building in the first place -- heart pine floors, vintage mouldings, pocket doors and transoms. Because this unit was going to be primarily used as an Airbnb, the Klimalas wanted to make it beautiful, maintain the character of the building, while also specifying materials that would last and wouldn’t break the budget. Susan enjoyed the hunt of specifying these items and still coming up with a cohesive creative space that feels a bit French in flavor. Parisian style décor is all about casual elegance and an eclectic mix of old and new. Susan had fun sourcing some more personal pieces of artwork for the space, creating a dramatic black, white and moody green color scheme for the kitchen and highlighting the living room with pieces to showcase the vintage fireplace and pocket doors. This future rental property has been completely refurbished with a newly constructed extension. Bespoke joinery, lighting design and colour scheme were carefully thought out to create a sense of space and elegant simplicity to appeal to a wide range of future tenants. Here are 2 bathrooms in a house featuring the same tile. This is a spec house that the builder wanted to look a little more special. So instead of basic 3x6 subway wall tile he installed 4x12 tile vertically with a decorative feature strip. For easy maintenance he also installed wood looking porcelain tile on the floor.

Here's a complete bathroom remodel done for a family in Long Beach. Though this bathroom may look like a simple small and compact bathroom, this room holds a lot of great features. The main attraction of this bathroom comes from the open shower that is accompanied by a accented black tile wall. This shower is also featured with a full length niche for shower accessories and a bench for extra support. The bathroom is enhanced more by the golden features that come from the knobs and faucet. This bathroom is the perfect master bathroom extension.

All of the finishes in the space are polished chrome which adds a reflective quality as well as a touch of bling to the Bathroom. Taking the tile up the wall behind the soaking tub highlights it as the focal point of this Bathroom.

This elegant oversized master bathroom allows natural light to peek in through a full wall of glass windows. The steam shower with bench and rain shower head provide relaxation and stress free water therapy along with the freestanding bath tub. .
