FLAT B : DRAWING ROOM.
(Photo courtesy of Fidelia Care & Savills Cheltenham). This beautiful building was once a tired care home but was given a new lease of life as a series of 13 luxury apartments.
We were initially brought in to provide simple design consultation, but ended up advising on the design and fit-out of all the bathrooms and kitchens, specification of all floor surfaces, lighting design, colour scheme and creation of the show flat.
Because of the scale of the building we had the luxury of including an interesting and colourful palette which has been very well received!

This family open plan living and dining space needed a revamping to be more contemporary traditional. It is used by a busy family of 4 including a dog so needed to be hardwearing too! The family were considering selling their home because they were so out of love of this space they used so much, but our transformation encouraged them to stay!
Design for Change
The furniture was timeless and of high quality so we chose to reupholster everything in fresh yet traditional fabrics to complement her collection of oriental carpets and Americana quilts.

This is the after picture of the living room windows. The top down bottom up feature of the shades allows for easy adjustment of the light from day to night time. The new white linen curtains add a fresh and airy feel to the room. And the custom valence effectively hides the corner pipes.
Design for Change
A before picture of the living room window treatment. There are heating pipes that run above the corners of the window to service the radiator. Now that new construction in the form of high rises has been built across the park the light at night would glare through her windows which was quite jarring.
