This gorgeous dark grey shaker kitchen-diner is a fantastic living space in a terraced house. Compact Kitchen Our clients wanted an L-shaped kitchen that would work well in the compact space they had. They preferred to avoid doing any additional building work. As keen cooks, our clients wanted a space that would be a daily joy to be in. They had a clear idea of the design aesthetic they wanted to achieve, with the dark characterful doors, brass handles and clean geometrical tiling. It was important that their new kitchen reflected their style and character, as well as provide them with a place to relax. A "living kitchen" is probably a good description. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again.” The Kitchen Ingredients: The kitchen features solid timber doors in gun metal grey combined with beautiful iroko hardwood worktops, reclaimed from a school science lab. We designed and created the freestanding larder, which provides our clients with essential storage for their dry goods. Cooking a lot from scratch, this full height unit gives them an instant overview of all their ingredients. The open shelving on the other side of the kitchen makes the most of the shallow space between the worktop and the door leading to upstairs. A sustainable set of kitchen cabinets forms the base for the entire kitchen. These cabinets are super sustainable, as they are made from a special eco-board consisting of 100% recycled timber. They are glued and dowelled, and then set rigidly square in a press. Starting off square, they stay square - the perfect foundation for a solid kitchen. Guaranteed for 15 years, we expect them to last much longer. Exactly what you want when you're investing in a new kitchen. The longer a kitchen lasts, the more sustainable it is.

Walk through pantry. We used a 9ft cherry butcher-block top applying 15 coats of food safe Walnut Nut oil. Three 36" grey base cabinets with self closing drawers and doors were used and sat directly on top of grey tone rectangle tiles. We added 9ft of of open adjustable all wood component shelving in three 36" units. The shelving is all wood core product with a veneer finish and all maple edges on shelving. The strength is 10x that of particle board systems. These shelves give a custom shelving look with the adjustable of component product. We also added a 48"x72" free standing shelf unit with 6 shelves.

This painted kitchen was designed for the Chairman of David Hicks Plc. It was designed to complement the classic, elegant interior of a Cornish manor house. The interiors of the kitchen cupboards were made from maple with dovetailed maple drawers. The worktops were made from maple and iroko. The finial hinges to all the doors were silvered to add a touch of luxury to this bespoke kitchen. This is a kitchen with a classic understated English country look. Designed and hand built by Tim Wood

The beautiful painted timber effect and delicate colouring of Milton Bone will bring light and space into even the darkest and smallest of kitchens. Adding feature units such as glass wall fascias and oak plate racks gives an extra touch of traditional sophistication.

The beaded cream cabinets, some of which are glazed, complement the wooden worktops perfectly. With the framed plinths, open plan shelving and mantel shelf over the oven create the ultimate country setting. All of our kitchens are handmade in the UK.
