We designed, supplied and fitted this Bespoke Kitchen for a family home in Southfields. We used the perfect combination of textures to create a Traditional Style Kitchen. Smooth furniture, high gloss splash backs, solid wood open shelves and a Herringbone floor.

Little Greene Paint Company's Hick's Blue painted Shaker units look dramatic but adding in a crisp white Corian worktop keeps the whole kitchen looking fresh. Neat chrome knob handles and chrome covers on the clear glass splashback introduce a sparkle to lift the colour. Photos by Felix Page

These homeowner loves to entertain friends and family. They wanted a new space that had a farmhouse look and feel. We removed the wall between the kitchen and dining room. Then we closed off the staircase coming from upstairs into the kitchen. We changed the dining room ceiling from a tray ceiling to a flat ceiling. These changes allowed us to incorporate the old dining room and kitchen to make a lavish area for entertaining friends and family. The perimeter cabinets are from Showplace featuring the Marquis door style in soft white with a pewter glaze and are accented by Heirloom Gray countertops. The contrasting island cabinets are from Showplace in smoky blue with the Marquis door style and are accented by Cosmos Venato countertops. The microwave is located conveniently in the island helping to avoid clutter on the countertops. The pantry is concealed behind a rustic alder barn door which when closed is located beside a magnetic chalkboard for displaying their child’s artwork The porcelain enamel farm sink has an oil rubbed bronze faucet which matches the pot filler located behind the Wolfe range on the subway glass tile. The new large kitchen window provides plenty of natural light. The focal point of this kitchen is the Wolfe range with the custom Ventahood exhaust hood with copper accents with blends perfectly with the oil rubbed bronze faucet and pot filler.

We added a landing space next to the range and storage under the peninsula. The homeowner wanted to keep the soffits, so we trimmed them off with a small dentil molding. We also added crown moldings and stained the existing wood wainscoting to match the cabinets.

The contrasting cherry and black Jay Rambo kitchen cabinets give a sophisticated backdrop to an array of hidden surprises throughout this traditional kitchen design in Newtown, PA. The island has an oven tucked away at one end, while drawer fronts on the island provide easy access to hidden power outlets. The cabinets include handy pull-out spice racks, and elegant valances cover the cabinet base. A matching mantle hood frames the tumbled marble backsplash, which includes a recessed niche over the cooking area.

Shaker kitchen in Powder Blue, with traditional cup handles and the practicality of a solid surface (Hanex Athena) worktop. These deep pan drawers offer great storage options.

The new 8 ft. wide addition is pronounced with the new glulam beam and new vaulted ceiling. Ample natural light is spilled deep into the space all the lights aren't really needed during the day-time hours.

Our client requested a full kitchen refurb to update existing kitchen cabinets whilst keeping the layout and cabinet carcasses. We removed the doors of the cabinets and resprayed in a stylish and contemporary dark blue. We added new gold handles and then replaced the worktop with a new Corian top. We installed a new hob, sink and tap and finished off with a new tiled splashback.

Inframe shaker cabinetry finished in Farrow & Ball Purbeck Stone to the main kitchen L and Hague Blue to the Island and pantry and tall furniture.
