Love the variation in this tile from Sonoma tileworks! This client wanted a warm kitchen without any gray. The countertops have a warm veining pattern to go with the brown wood tones and we added some rustic/industrial details to make it feel like the client's mountain cabin.

The dark wood floors of the kitchen are balanced with white inset shaker cabinets with a light brown polished countertop. The wall cabinets feature glass doors and are topped with tall crown molding. Brass hardware has been used for all the cabinets. For the backsplash, we have used a soft beige. The countertop features a double bowl undermount sink with a gooseneck faucet. This vintage kitchen was part of staged project... New owners may want to gut, but the current owners LOVED the vintage quality so we left this in it's "Native" state. It is sometimes a surprise what beauty can lurk under the surface of a room. A client with a 1970s kitchen and eat-in area cut up by an unwieldy peninsula was desperate for it to reflect her love of all things English-and-French-Manor-Home. Working closely with my client, we removed the peninsula in favor of a lovely free-standing island that we painted a shade of French Blue. This is topped with Old World sink hardware (note the ceramic HOT and COLD medallions on the faucets!) and a gorgeous marble counter with a very special edge profile that evokes an antique French Boulangerie counter from the 1910s. Pendants with patinaed metal shades over the island further the charming Old World feel. Handmade white and blue tiles laid in a quilted diamond pattern cover the backsplash, and the remainder of the cabinetry at the perimeter is in a warm cream tone. The eat-in near the fireplace got a cozy treatment with custom seat cushions and window seat bench cushions in a classic blue-and-white Toile de Jouy matching the island stools. The nearby living room got a similar treatment. We removed dark wood paneling and dark carpeting in favor of a light sky blue wall and lighter wood flooring. A new rug with the appearance of an heirloom, a new grand-scaled sofa, and some of my client’s precious antiques helped take the room from 70s rec room to English Sitting Room. This gorgeous new kitchen used to be just about half the size before we stepped in for renovations. Not only did we open up the space, but we completely changed nearly every design aspect! The kitchen went from a U-shape to an L-shape, we added an island with seating, swapped laminate counters for quartz and upgraded the backsplash tile. We replaced the old wood-tone cabinets with sleek, painted cabinets - and installed under cabinet lighting and plugs to keep the counters looking bright and clutter-free.

For this whole home remodel and addition project, we removed the existing roof and knee walls to construct new 1297 s/f second story addition. We increased the main level floor space with a 4’ addition (100s/f to the rear) to allow for a larger kitchen and wider guest room. We also reconfigured the main level, creating a powder bath and converting the existing primary bedroom into a family room, reconfigured a guest room and added new guest bathroom, completed the kitchen remodel, and reconfigured the basement into a media room.

This kitchen packs a punch with high end appliances and luscious latte colored cabinets by Dura Supreme. The white Calacatta marble adds more elegance to this classic kitchen. The stacked glass cabinets gives the room more height as well as the unique hood and spice shelf over the cook top. The Hutch, which also serves as a bar, is highlighted in a lighter paint color. The large lantern over the kitchen table and the latch pulls add a hint of the past.

This custom kitchen design makes great use of the triangle function pattern between the Fridge, cooktop and sink. You can see the convenient cabinet accessories that allow for storage and easy access. A spacious peninsula for cooking and entertaining. A built-in shelf microwave that creates a solution to get it off the counterop allowing for more space!

The newly remodeled space produced a gorgeous center island large enough to seat five and house a new Frigidaire gallery dishwasher and an Undermount stainless steel sink. Surrounding the island are two banks of beautiful Wellborn Select Bedford Square style cabinets in Maple with a Sienna stain. The contrasting backsplash behind the range and coffee nook is finished in a 12 x 22 Impero glazed porcelain tile. Two eye-catching Kichler island pendants were added above the central island to soften the space, and a complementary Kichler six-light pewter chandelier was positioned over the dining area to complete the look.
