Love the variation in this tile from Sonoma tileworks! This client wanted a warm kitchen without any gray. The countertops have a warm veining pattern to go with the brown wood tones and we added some rustic/industrial details to make it feel like the client's mountain cabin.

This beautiful century old home had an addition aded in the 80's that sorely needed updated. Working with the homeowner to make sure it functioned well for her, but also brought in some of the century old style was key to the design.

This 2 story home with a first floor Master Bedroom features a tumbled stone exterior with iron ore windows and modern tudor style accents. The Great Room features a wall of built-ins with antique glass cabinet doors that flank the fireplace and a coffered beamed ceiling. The adjacent Kitchen features a large walnut topped island which sets the tone for the gourmet kitchen. This sunny and warm alcove studio in NYC's London Terrace is a great example of balance within scale. The apartment was transformed from estate condition into a lovely and cozy alcove studio. The apartment received a full overhaul including new kitchen, bathroom, added alcove with sliding glass door partition, updated electrical and a fresh coats of plaster and paint.

PROJECT OVERVIEW: This 1929 Tudor style home was perfect for a couple that loves to collect antiques, but the original kitchen that came with it didn’t work for their family lifestyle. The original floor plan included a small, irregular shaped kitchen with a very large brick fireplace, small nook area, and rear porch entryway, all compartmentalized by load bearing walls. The new design boasts a large kitchen defined by a 24’ fridge and freezer tower wall paneled to match perimeter cabinetry and flanked by double arched entries to both the new butler’s pantry and dining room. WHAT MAKES THIS PROJECT UNIQUE: Besides eliminating all the large, load bearing walls that divided the overall space, both floors and ceilings had to be aligned to bring the space together. On either end of the long, paneled tower elevation, arched doorways lead to a new butler’s pantry on the left (which then leads into the dining room) and a newly created hall with floor to ceiling bookshelves on the right (which also leads into the dining room). Archways, butler’s pantry, and hall all match kitchen cabinetry. Even retro light switches and receptacles were designed into matching paneling. DESIGN CHALLENGES: The homeowners wanted a large, family friendly kitchen and better flow between the kitchen and dining room. To achieve this 18’ X 19’ family sized kitchen with a clean ceiling, 31 lineal feet of load bearing wall had to be suspended at 9’. Back-to-back steel C- channels bolted together and a steel I Beam were installed to carry the load of 11” thick brick, 2 ½ story walls.

This gorgeous new kitchen used to be just about half the size before we stepped in for renovations. Not only did we open up the space, but we completely changed nearly every design aspect! The kitchen went from a U-shape to an L-shape, we added an island with seating, swapped laminate counters for quartz and upgraded the backsplash tile. We replaced the old wood-tone cabinets with sleek, painted cabinets - and installed under cabinet lighting and plugs to keep the counters looking bright and clutter-free.
