A vintage range is one of the beautiful focal points in the kitchen and the black island is a lovely complement. A clear glass door provides access to the yard.

By incorporating smaller appliances and custom-built pieces, the space feels larger, everything fits and the newly imagined spaces feel airy and light. We installed a Lacanche Cormatin and accented the black of the range with a slab of absolutely stunning Statuario marble with dramatic gray and black veining. This custom hutch, painted white with stained oak interior, was created to display the owner's wealth of lovely collected pottery and dishes as well as provide extra storage for the room. The curved face, complete with sliding doors with curved glass, allows a soft passage through the kitchen from the front hall to the dining room.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with this family on their kitchen extension - to design, make & fit this - their vision & dream kitchen, part of creating a home they love. For this family of five & their much loved dog Florrie, their kitchen design is all about filling their space with light for wellbeing & happiness. The owners grew up together in a warm & bright beachside town in South Africa, so bringing as much light into the hub of their house was paramount to it feeling like home. They helped us name this kitchen for our portfolio - The Ilanga Kitchen - which means sunshine in Zulu (pronounced e-lan-ger).

A very traditional kitchen in a beautiful Georgian home. The kitchen was designed around the Aga and an antique table as the focal points. The client wanted a calm and elegant space which felt as if it belonged to the house. The very simple cabinetry with no modern appliances on show creates a harmonious space, perfect for entertaining and family life. The traditional brass ironmongery and taps will age beautifully, as will the stunning marble tops and splashback. The shelf adds space for displaying treasured possessions and hides some practical lighting for the worktops. The modern fridge freezer is hidden in an old walk in pantry which provides space for food storage as well. The wall units which surround an existing archway to the snug form the perfect space for storing glassware and crockery.

With two teen daughters, a one bathroom house isn’t going to cut it. In order to keep the peace, our clients tore down an existing house in Richmond, BC to build a dream home suitable for a growing family. The plan. To keep the business on the main floor, complete with gym and media room, and have the bedrooms on the upper floor to retreat to for moments of tranquility. Designed in an Arts and Crafts manner, the home’s facade and interior impeccably flow together. Most of the rooms have craftsman style custom millwork designed for continuity. The highlight of the main floor is the dining room with a ridge skylight where ship-lap and exposed beams are used as finishing touches. Large windows were installed throughout to maximize light and two covered outdoor patios built for extra square footage. The kitchen overlooks the great room and comes with a separate wok kitchen. You can never have too many kitchens! The upper floor was designed with a Jack and Jill bathroom for the girls and a fourth bedroom with en-suite for one of them to move to when the need presents itself. Mom and dad thought things through and kept their master bedroom and en-suite on the opposite side of the floor. With such a well thought out floor plan, this home is sure to please for years to come.

The owner of this home wished to transform this builder basic home to a European treasure. Having traveled the world, recently moved from San Francisco and now living in wine country she knew that she wanted to celebrate the charm of France complete with an French range, luxury refrigerator and wine cooler. The design process was a collaboration with the home owner, designer and contractor. .
