Welcome home to Legacy Pointe, which is located in Haughton just off of I-20 and within miles of the Barksdale Air Force Base. Nearby you will find Joe Delaney Memorial Park, situated just five minutes away from the community, which features a playground as well as a splash pad for children to beat the heat during the summer.

Our architecture team was proud to design this traditional, cottage inspired home that is tucked within a developed residential location in St. Louis County. The main levels account for 6097 Sq Ft and an additional 1300 Sq Ft was reserved for the lower level. The homeowner requested a unique design that would provide backyard privacy from the street and an open floor plan in public spaces, but privacy in the master suite. Challenges of this home design included a narrow corner lot build site, building height restrictions and corner lot setback restrictions. The floorplan design was tailored to this corner lot and oriented to take full advantage of southern sun in the rear courtyard and pool terrace area. There are many notable spaces and visual design elements of this custom 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom brick cottage home. A mostly brick exterior with cut stone entry surround and entry terrace gardens helps create a cozy feel even before entering the home. Special spaces like a covered outdoor lanai, private southern terrace and second floor study nook create a pleasurable every-day living environment. For indoor entertainment, a lower level rec room, gallery, bar, lounge, and media room were also planned.

When this beautiful Boulder home was built in 2010 it had CertainTeed fiber cement siding installed. Unfortunately that siding product has been failing on homes after installation. In fact, any home built before 2013 with CertainTeed fiber cement siding will have faulty siding installed. In fact there is a class-action lawsuit many homeowners across the country have been a part of. The homeowner needed a full replacement of all the lap siding all around the home. He was referred to Colorado Siding Repair from his neighbor who had completed a siding project with us in 2017. Colorado Siding Repair replaced the old siding with James Hardie fiber cement with ColorPlus technology in Cobblestone. We also painted the shake siding, soffits, fascia, and gutters to create a seamless update to this already stunning home. This home now has a factory finish 15-year warranty with James Hardie. Shingle details and handsome stone accents give this traditional carriage house the look of days gone by while maintaining all of the convenience of today. The goal for this home was to maximize the views of the lake and this three-story home does just that. With multi-level porches and an abundance of windows facing the water. The exterior reflects character, timelessness, and architectural details to create a traditional waterfront home. The exterior details include curved gable rooflines, crown molding, limestone accents, cedar shingles, arched limestone head garage doors, corbels, and an arched covered porch. Objectives of this home were open living and abundant natural light. This waterfront home provides space to accommodate entertaining, while still living comfortably for two. The interior of the home is distinguished as well as comfortable. Graceful pillars at the covered entry lead into the lower foyer. Overall the siding on this home was in pretty good shape so we replaced some of the fascia and soffits and rotten trim, then we repainted the house in Sherwin WIlliams paints and finally we installed color matched gutters.

Abingdon tumbled thin stone veneer from the Quarry Mills adds character to this home as an exterior accent wall. Abingdon is an ashlar style stone that can be used to recreate an old European style design. It is broad in terms of applications due to the medium sized pieces. This natural stone veneer is well suited for both large and small scale walls. Abingdon is sold as loose pieces of stone ranging from 2”-8” inches in height. The stones have a sawn edge with a tumbled finish. The colors consist of off whites, greys and golds. The stone is shown with a standard half-inch grey raked mortar joint between the individual pieces. This is the most common installation method, however, other joint options and mortar colors can be used. Tumbled stone lends itself to flush and overgrout mortar techniques for an old world appearance.

The front of the home is beautiful and welcoming in its own right. The windows were renovated to a high standard, with glass panes replaced throughout. The paint was stripped back and refreshed in a bright white, and the front door replaced in a gorgeous navy blue, adding character while working nicely with the traditional features of the property.
