This sprawling estate is an incredible sight see! Soaring coffered ceilings with gorgeous winding staircases set the stage for a grand entry. We took advantage of the classical elements of this home and built our design (at the request of our amazing clients) with a heavy nod to european traditional style. Decadent silk fabrics paired with amazingly rich wall treatments bring a luxurious feeling to every room. Heavily carved details are found on an eclectic mix of furnishings throughout the home. We incorporated some of the clients pieces from their years of collecting and traveling. Their favorite rolled arm sofa is given new life in the library once reupholstered in a cozy woven chenille. After completing the interior, it was time to get started on the grounds! We were so excited to design the exterior entertaining space which includes an outdoor kitchen, living and dining areas, pergola, bath and pool. One of our favorites for sure.

This sunken mudroom, with half-height walls on the kitchen side, allows for parents to see over the half-wall and out the spacious windows to the driveway and back yard, while also obstructing view of all that collects in the homeowners' primary entry. A wash sink, cubbie lockers, and a bench to take off shoes make this room one of the most efficient rooms in the house.

This elegant home remodel created a bright, transitional farmhouse charm, replacing the old, cramped setup with a functional, family-friendly design. The homeowners invited us in to their home with hopes of updating it's aesthetics, fixing some functional nightmares, and creating an open but still intimate space for small gatherings. Our changes included; removing a large wet bar area, partially removing the wall between the living and kitchen, and opening the formal dining to the kitchen by removing a cased opening between the two rooms. By making these changes, along with many cabinet and appliance location adjustments, a cordially inviting space was achieved. Now the home matches the owner's charm and hospitable spirit.

The owners of this home came to us with a plan to build a new high-performance home that physically and aesthetically fit on an infill lot in an old well-established neighborhood in Bellingham. The Craftsman exterior detailing, Scandinavian exterior color palette, and timber details help it blend into the older neighborhood. At the same time the clean modern interior allowed their artistic details and displayed artwork take center stage. We started working with the owners and the design team in the later stages of design, sharing our expertise with high-performance building strategies, custom timber details, and construction cost planning. Our team then seamlessly rolled into the construction phase of the project, working with the owners and Michelle, the interior designer until the home was complete. The owners can hardly believe the way it all came together to create a bright, comfortable, and friendly space that highlights their applied details and favorite pieces of art.
