Having been neglected for nearly 50 years, this home was rescued by new owners who sought to restore the home to its original grandeur. Prominently located on the rocky shoreline, its presence welcomes all who enter into Marblehead from the Boston area. The exterior respects tradition; the interior combines tradition with a sparse respect for proportion, scale and unadorned beauty of space and light. Un arredamento Classico Contemporaneo è stata la scelta di stile di un Progetto d’Interni di un Attico a Perugia in occasione del quale si è creata una sfida sul Design molto stimolante. Quando ho conosciuto la committenza la richiesta è stata forte e chiara: vorremmo una casa in stile classico! Parlavamo di un splendido attico in un condominio di pregio degli anni ’80 che avremmo ristrutturato completamente, perciò la mia prima preoccupazione è stata quella di riuscire a rispettare i desideri estetici dei nuovi proprietari, ma tenendo conto di due aspetti importanti: ok il classico, ma siamo in un condominio moderno e siamo nel 2015! Whilst this property had been relatively well maintained, it had not been modernised for several decades. Works included re-roofing, a complete rewire, installation of new central heating system, new kitchen, bathroom and garden landscaping. OPS remodelled the ground floor accommodation to produce a generous kitchen diner to befit modern living. In addition a downstairs WC was incorporated, and also a dedicated utility cupboard in order that laundry appliances are sited outside of the kitchen diner. A large glazed door (and sidelights) provides access to a raised decked area which is perfect for al fresco dining. Steps lead down to a lower decked area which features low maintenance planting. Natural light is in abundance with the introduction of a sun tunnel above the stairs and a neutral palette used throughout to reflect light around the rooms. Built in wardrobes have been fitted in the two double bedrooms and the bathroom refitted with luxurious features including underfloor heating, bespoke mirror with demister, Bisque Hot Spring radiator and designer lighting.

This kitchen was created with StarMark Cabinetry's Harbor door style in Cherry finished in a cabinet color called Nutmeg with Chocolate glaze. The drawers have five piece drawer headers and decorative storage.
