This is part of an addition we did to a home in the Minneapolis area. Believe it or not, it all new, but made to look like an old country French estate kitchen. We had so much fun mixing muted colors and textures to really inspire a casual yet elegant feel to the room.

We love the architectural design elements on display in this home, especially the combination marble floors and wood flooring, wood countertops, the custom backsplash, and open shelving.

The working pantry is a blend of new and old-world design. It's soothing greys, dusty greens, and natural color palette is hidden behind antiqued barn doors that were refinished to give new life.

The decision to keep the original cabinet boxes meant simply replacing the cabinet drawers and drawer fronts for a refreshing transformation. The porcelain tile floor has the unmistakable look of brick without the struggle to keep it clean. New appliances, stylish range hood, and a new cabinet box for the refrigerator. A custom island located in the original dining nook satisfies the client's number one request, providing a place to drink wine and make cookies.

We don't know which of these design elements we like best; the open shelves, wood countertops, black cabinets or the custom tile backsplash. Either way, this luxury kitchen has it all.

French Country Gourmet Kitchen Complete Renovation of a Modern Kitchen Design formerly with Light Oak Cabinets to a charming and inviting French Country New Orleans Kitchen.
