This client had a small very outdated kitchen. we took out all cabinets. Closed up the block small windows. Framed the refrigerator and created more storage space. We added details on island and fan hood and around the pull-out space cabinet. Note the re/orange line in the cabinets and on the crown modeling.

We don't know which of these design elements we like best; the open shelves, wood countertops, black cabinets or the custom tile backsplash. Either way, this luxury kitchen has it all.

Perched high above the Islington Golf course, on a quiet cul-de-sac, this contemporary residential home is all about bringing the outdoor surroundings in. In keeping with the French style, a metal and slate mansard roofline dominates the façade, while inside, an open concept main floor split across three elevations, is punctuated by reclaimed rough hewn fir beams and a herringbone dark walnut floor. The elegant kitchen includes Calacatta marble countertops, Wolf range, SubZero glass paned refrigerator, open walnut shelving, blue/black cabinetry with hand forged bronze hardware and a larder with a SubZero freezer, wine fridge and even a dog bed. The emphasis on wood detailing continues with Pella fir windows framing a full view of the canopy of trees that hang over the golf course and back of the house. This project included a full reimagining of the backyard landscaping and features the use of Thermory decking and a refurbished in-ground pool surrounded by dark Eramosa limestone. Design elements include the use of three species of wood, warm metals, various marbles, bespoke lighting fixtures and Canadian art as a focal point within each space. The main walnut waterfall staircase features a custom hand forged metal railing with tuning fork spindles. The end result is a nod to the elegance of French Country, mixed with the modern day requirements of a family of four and two dogs!

This small kitchen was inaccessible from the existing dining room. The rooms adjacent to the kitchen were needing natural light and improved flow. After a not-so-great experience with a previous contractor, this homeowner came to Kraft Custom Construction in search of a better outcome. Not only was she wanting a more functional kitchen to enjoy cooking in, she also sought out a team with a clear process and great communication. Two elements of the original floorplan shaped the design of the new kitchen: a protruding pantry that blocked the flow from the front door into the main living space, and two large columns in the middle of the living room. Using a refined French-Country design aesthetic, we completed structural modifications to reframe the pantry, and integrated a new custom buffet cabinet to tie in the old columns with new wood ceiling beams. Other design solutions include more usable countertop space, a recessed spice cabinet, numerous drawer organizers, and updated appliances and finishes all around. This bright new kitchen is both comfortable yet elegant, and the perfect place to cook for the family or entertain a group of guests.

This sophisticated french country remodel added unbelievable charm to the homeowners large kitchen and dining space. With an off white perimeter and rich stained island the space feels elegant and well planned. Intricate details can be found throughout the kitchen, including glass inserts with mullion detail, corbels, large crown molding, decorative toe treatments, built-in wood hood, turned posts and contrasting hardware.

This Craftsman kitchen boasts some French Country appeal with its furniture-like island and cabinets, as well as the custom range hood. The wide-planked dark hardwood floors create a beautiful contrast with the white cabinetry.
